General Discussion / 1969 Los Angeles Production Numbers
« on: October 03, 2006, 09:46:09 PM »
Does anyone know how many camaros were Produced in California for the 1969 production year. I have a z28 (124379L502362). I rarely see VINs with the "L" code. Was there any specific reason why cars were produced there as opposed to Norwood?

How about starting a members Photo Gallery as one of the sections on the forum home page. The forum is capable of having pictures uploaded. It would be a great place for people to show off their handy work, and maybe post a little bio/history about their car.

Site Comments/Discussion / Forum Picture / Thumbnail Image

Some members have posted a profile picture that shows up on the forum all jagged, squashed and/or out of proportion (even though the original was fine). This is because the forum software shrinks the original to make it fit into the small thumbnail size. This can be fixed by cropping / shrinking the image to the correct size before you upload. The width needs to be 65 pixels, and the height needs to be 65 pixels or less.

If anyone would like me to do it, shoot me off a digital picture, and I will send it back sized correctly: Adz28@wwwebtek.com

Maintenance / Fuel / Octane Rating
« on: April 17, 2006, 08:55:34 PM »
I am looking for some input / recommendations on the best fuel to use in my 69 z/28. Its 302 has been rebuilt recently and I have been using 93 Octane pump gas. I found a place that sells both 110 Leaded and 100 Unleaded (GT100).

I assume the engine, and its 11:1 compression, will simply run better with the higher octane fuel. The 110 Leaded and the 100 Unleaded are the same price. Which should I use?

Also, is it worth it? It obviously costs a whole lot more and the fuel station is a bit of a hike.

Your thoughts are appreciated.
