That's weird. You can see in the pic where the screws would go. There's that round plastic thingy on the right, and you can see an indentation on the left where that attacing screw would go. And that looks very original to me.

I'd say it's pretty rare. I've seen 2 Royal Plum Camaros ever. Both were plain Jane 6 cyl. cars. I would put it back to stock if I were you. I have no idea of its' value.

No 6 cyl. Camaro SS. You might be thinking of Nova. I'm not possitive, but I think a 6 cyl. Nova SS was possible.

Do you have an A.I.M.? I'm pretty sure the measurements are in there. Also, some of the repop companies have templates. Try Classic industries and/or Rick's.

Here's a pic of the bezel that was in my '68 SS/RS, deluxe interior, when I bought it in '83. It doesn't match the dash panel . The color is off just a bit (not sure if it's burlwood, Dan) and the grain goes in the opposite direction. The part number on the back is 3886998. I've since replaced it with a repop black one.
