My YJ wheels seem to have an extra number. By the valve stem they are as follows. K189 5 ( valve stem ) 18 YJ. Seems to be and extra number from other wheels I've seen. How do these decode?

General Discussion / Dynacorn title question

There is a guy on Ebay selling the Dynacorn shells. He suggests that you can use a donor car for title. Isn't it illegal to do a VIN swap? Shouldn't these cars be titled as kit cars and have new titles and be titled as a 2007 or whatever year you built it in? My concern is fake cars. I know that the experts can tell the difference but what about the novice.

Is there a web site I can go to to decode tire dates. I need original tires for my 69SS 04C car and want to make sure I get the right ones. What would be correct Goodyear wide tread or Goodyear polyglas? Or both?

Does anyone know what goes between the air distributor duct and the center outlet adapter duct. I have about an inch and a half gap between the two? If so where do I find it?

Currently my car has an AM radio with optional rear speaker. I am going to install a factory AM FM mono radio. Was there an 8 track available with that combination or did you have to get the stereo radio to get an 8 track? If so what is the part number. Also where did the 8 track mount?

If a car came with rally wheels was the spare also a rally? I have an original car but not sure if the wheels are. They are correct coded rallys but the spare wheel is a steel wheel with body color.

Originality / Engine pad....painted or not

Does anyone know if the engine pad was painted at the factory? I have heard that they were not painted. Is that correct? I assume they weren't so that they could be read easier since they wouldn't be filled up with paint.

Just bought another car so I'm selling my SS350. It is an early car so no X code however it is a complete numbers matching car. It is a 3 speed car, all original except one repaint. Paint is very nice. This car is very original. Same owners owned this car from 1970-2005.

General Discussion / Orange houndstooth interior

Does anyone know how many cars besides pace cars had orange interior. I just bought a RS SS 350 Hugger orange car with orange interior. I think I've only seen one other car with that combo. Seems to me this is a rare car. It's even got the original paint.
