The axle actually has a set of richmond 3.73 gears in it now.....the boys over on the supercar registry told me to come over here and ask this board about the rarity of the housing.
2  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / 4.56 posi 12 bolt (BW code) on: January 16, 2006, 03:25:15 PM
I just yanked the 12 bolt out from under my Nova. I know that it is not stock for my I looked up the code and here is what I came up with

BW 1227 G2

The best I can decipher this is a 4.56 rear end built on 12 27 of 1967 or 1968 for a 68 or 69 camaro or nova. I know the E means eaton posi.

Now for the questions...

How rare was a 4.56 gear?
How much is this worth compared to the run of the mill 12 bolts on Ebay that go for around $100?
I will be selling it, I just want to know what I have before it hits ebay.

Thanks for your reply
