Just an FYI my 67 L158 tag rivets look just like the 2 L158's up above. When the DMV
came to inspect the car he took a lot of time inspecting the rivets and hidden vins. It took
about 6 weeks before they sent the title.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: 1969 PC code rear
« on: March 30, 2015, 02:51:13 PM »
Ok after going back and looking at other pics this must be a 67 12 bolt. It has mono leaf perches (67) with
4 leaf springs (69). The casting code must be H 16 6 instead of an 8.

Ok my bad on page 314 of CBTN it shows PC as a 2:56 posi no reference to 10 or 12 bolt. But what is in the
car is a 12 bolt with a casting date of H 16 8 and stamp of PC 0929 G.

Decoding/Numbers / 1969 PC code rear
« on: March 29, 2015, 09:48:37 PM »
I checked on a project 69 camaro and the rear is a 12 bolt PC 0929 G. CRG has it as a 10 bolt 2:56 posi.
In Chevrolet by the Numbers it list it as a 12 bolt 2:56 posi. Anyone else come across this?

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Pad stamp check
« on: October 28, 2014, 03:47:01 AM »
First you need to check the casting day and the blocks casting number to see if its a 67 or 68. If its 67 dated, would it have a  exchange stamp on it or be blank as this one?

Yes a lot of nice parts but sometimes you got to wonder. Here is a listing under nos and rare parts 67 12 bolt posi.
"Camaro 12 bolt 3.73 OL positraction rearend assembly or rear axle assembly. Casted on A-5-7 and production date stamping OL0119G2. Mono-leaf spring perches. Unit is completely rebuilt and ready for installation. Rebuild includes rebuilt posi, new axle shafts, new carrier bearings, pinion bearings and seal, axle bearings and seals, crush sleeve, gasket and hardware. Complete from backing plate to backing plate. No brake shoes or rear brake hardware"
So no OL rears listed here are crg so must mean QL but a QL is 3:31 non posi. $3295.00
