Yes. Some drum brake 10 bolt cars have had it too!

More importantly, BP is a monoleaf axle. Only L6 and 327/307 cars got the monoleafs.

I'd have to see a pic of the tunnel and the upper hole, but it sounds like it could be an SS.

BB came out after Jan 67.

Yes. The car is not a SS350. It originally was a 307. Can't tell what the trans was originally. Is the column shift indicator still there?

You could always get a powerglide with a console.

Glenn,
If your question is if your car is a SS, what not post that as a topic? Changed the title of this topic.
Absolutely no relationship between deluxe belts and any drivetrain option.

You posted the #'s as 09d 67-12637 nor 10181 d body 742-z r-2 2lg 3sl 5y. Axle as pw1006g.

No possibility this car is a BB. Way too early.
Axle is so close, but it isn't original.

It could be a SS350. Where does the speed cable go thru the firewall? What's the VIN?

Jimmy,
Yup, that's why that's on the site.
One exception is that starting in mid-1968, NOR Z28s stopped using it for a year, starting again in mid-1969.

Does the POP also list Carter Chev as the dealer? The buyer lived 200 miles away, that's a long way to a dealer!
2858  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / 67 master cylinder research question on: January 06, 2007, 01:39:33 AM
I'm looking for some info on 67 drum brake master cylinders.
Anyone have an original car and can post the application code (stamped on the pad on the front corner) and the casting part #?

Looking for both power and manual drums (I think they are the same but would like to confirm).

Thanks!

Hmm, I'm not sure why that's listed in that table that way. Looks like it should be just A.

Chris,
Can you post the drivetrain (engine, trans, & axle) codes?

Powerglide or not, all 69 Camaro 350's had multileafs. The axle code should tell us more.
2860  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: BR Axle Code On A Z28 on: January 05, 2007, 12:42:37 PM
POP's often have errors on them. It's worth confirming. Smiley
2861  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: BR Axle Code On A Z28 on: January 04, 2007, 06:12:10 PM
Very unusual gear ratio. There's over a thousand Z's in the database, only one other one is known to have a 3.07 axle (no documentation though).

You confirmed the axle is stamped BR?

Taxes..... They can be pretty steep in some countries and are based on displacement.
2863  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 327 Codes on: January 03, 2007, 10:54:10 PM
Nope, that date looks OK.
2864  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 1969 SS350 convertible w/Powerglide, how rare is it? on: January 03, 2007, 02:34:24 PM
(It has).... a 10 bolt and single leaf suspension.
Huh?? Something is not original. All 350 motors got multileaf rear springs.

When you get a chance, I'd be interested in the numbers from your car. We run across 69 SS350/PG cars so rarely that we have little data on them. Thanks!

And I agree with Tom, I'd go with a 2004R trans.
2865  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 327 Codes on: January 03, 2007, 02:29:42 PM
You are correct. Most, if not all, 67 Camaro 327's are not VIN stamped.

What's the build date of your car?
