2851  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 69 wiper transmission and cowl plenum area color on: September 20, 2006, 11:23:45 PM
To summarize:
The cowl plenum should be body color (or stripe color on Z's and pacers). I've seen only 1 or 2 cars that were blacked out, John's being the only one that comes to mind.

I wouldn't sweat a cast date.  That's getting pretty close to what I'd expect.
2853  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 7N179563 on: September 11, 2006, 02:20:34 PM
Thanks! Added. We'll let you know if we run across the car.
2 things - what's the block casting # and can I get a pic of the pad?  No hurry, thanks again!
2854  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 3352 block on: September 11, 2006, 12:50:35 AM
We have not documented a 3352 block in an L48. Not to say it didn't happen.

Since it's not original (and decked), I wouldn't sweat it as long as the internals are correct.

Nothing on that car in the database. Sad
2856  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Pace Car Yes/No on: September 11, 2006, 12:36:20 AM
It will be worth a lot more returned to original colors!
#'s look fine, no doubt it's an pace car replica (and built the same time as several others). Congrats!

I'd be curious what the trans and axle codes are. No hurry.

Jimmy,
A spreadsheet would be fine.
Thanks!

Gambitt,
Like most of 69, close. Depends on what component, some are even closer than others.
2858  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 69 Z28 Database on: September 06, 2006, 11:59:41 PM
Yes, especially if you have any original drivetrain #'s. KurtS2@peoplepc.com

Thanks!
2859  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Stamping question... Hidden Vin ??? on: September 06, 2006, 11:56:24 PM
Have to say I have not seen one like that!
2860  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 69 Z28 Database on: September 05, 2006, 10:52:07 PM
No, some cars really close, but not that one.
2861  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 69 camaro multi leafs or mono on: September 04, 2006, 12:27:04 AM
Kurt, it appears to be an "I" or a "T"
Yup, probably a T...... and then another letter. Smiley Probably TN or TM. Might be tough to tell those apart.....
2862  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 69 tach info on: September 02, 2006, 10:56:24 PM
NQ - don't recall seeing that code before.

It's Speedo, not stereo. Smiley

Can you send me a picture of the tag? Thanks!
2863  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 1111480 distributor on: September 02, 2006, 10:47:04 PM
Date is 9G11, correct?

1112003 was never released for production and the production total is zero.
That said, I believe that very late Z's recieved them.
2864  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Help on decode of BE X44 on: August 30, 2006, 03:56:04 PM
Naturally can provide full vin but have read that it is not wise to do so.
Why? Exactly what is someone going to do with it? Doesn't seem to be a problem with all the ZL1 and Yenkos.

Anyway, email me the VIN and body # and I'll see if I can help you.
2865  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 69 camaro multi leafs or mono on: August 29, 2006, 09:06:14 PM
About zero. Every 327 I've seen has monoleafs.
What is in the first box on line 4 of your car's BBC? I can't read it, but if you can, that should confirm it.
