2806  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Missing Trim Tag on: September 13, 2007, 01:30:13 AM
I have a '69 convertible VIN 124679N679379 that has a POP but is missing it's trim tag.  KurtS has seen this car at my house.

BOM11 = ?? August 11th
I remember seeing a bunch of cars at your place. And a bunch of lizards. Smiley
So this one is the next project?

B - Cleveland THM350
0 - 1970 (it was already the new model year)
M11 - August 11

John,
Weren't they stamped after the trim shop, in the body bank?

Either way, it was after paint. Smiley

I am still a young 45 and I am having a hard time reading the small type when someone quotes somebody's post.

Anyway you can make that font type larger for us young guys?
Done.

OK, the old forum should be online again.

And I fixed some minor things about the new forum (you can now see previews of posts before you click on the posts).

The database has 14,000+ vehicles accumulated over the years from various sources.
You can post the data in a thread or email me.

No, it's not in the main CRG db.
2815  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: help with buildsheet on 67 convert...... on: September 06, 2007, 10:03:00 PM

That's a interesting one.
It's off a Ford product. The design was done in 64 (C4), but the date looks like 8/25/66. (Just means the part didn't require a redesign.)
Now what it's doing there on the seat, I don't know.....

Butch,
I don't know on the axle, I just know some of the history of the car.

That VIN is too early. Maybe it's 9N659899.
2819  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Body Numbers 231468 and 220831 on: September 04, 2007, 12:21:07 AM
Rich,
Orders could sit in the queue for weeks, so body #'s can vary greatly in 69.

No doubt in my mind - an 01C car would have a 307 in it. We've now seen several 307 cars that were built before your car. Dec 31 appears to be a firm cutoff date for 327 engines in Camaros.

Hope this helps.

Nice find for $3500!
What does the original color look to be?
If you get the axle code, it will tell us what engine it originally had. Smiley
