The database has 14,000+ vehicles accumulated over the years from various sources.
You can post the data in a thread or email me.

No, it's not in the main CRG db.

That's a interesting one.
It's off a Ford product. The design was done in 64 (C4), but the date looks like 8/25/66. (Just means the part didn't require a redesign.)
Now what it's doing there on the seat, I don't know.....

Butch,
I don't know on the axle, I just know some of the history of the car.

That VIN is too early. Maybe it's 9N659899.
2752  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Body Numbers 231468 and 220831 on: September 04, 2007, 12:21:07 AM
Rich,
Orders could sit in the queue for weeks, so body #'s can vary greatly in 69.

No doubt in my mind - an 01C car would have a 307 in it. We've now seen several 307 cars that were built before your car. Dec 31 appears to be a firm cutoff date for 327 engines in Camaros.

Hope this helps.

Nice find for $3500!
What does the original color look to be?
If you get the axle code, it will tell us what engine it originally had. Smiley

Thanks!

I dont know anything about these guys, but they ( he)  appears to have an original JL-8 Z:

That's not a real JL8 car. That axle was added to the car.

2756  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: HOW RARE IS MY COLOR COMBINATION?? 69 SS CAMARO on: August 19, 2007, 01:13:17 AM
ITS TO MY UNDERSTANDING THAT MOST TUXEDO BLACK 69 CAMAROS CAME WITH WHITE INTERIOR AND OR A WHITE VINYL TOP.
That would be untrue. Most black cars came with no top and black interior.
Quote
I UNDERSTAND 1.7% OF 69 CAMAROS WERE (10 CODE) TUXEDO BLACK BUT MY QUESTION IS HOW MANY CAME WITH BLACK CUSTOM INTERIOR AND A BLACK VINYL TOP?
Noone knows or will ever know......

Hard to tell with that pic, but probably OK....

I agree that you're supposed to replace the dryer and purge the oil from the system. But I know of several people that didn't and haven't had problems. Some systems may be more sensitive to the issue than others.  YMMV.....
2760  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Odd rear code on '69 Z/28 on: August 12, 2007, 10:39:41 PM
Steve,
If you send me the VIN and full axle code, I'll take a look at it.

But a 3.31 axle in a Z is very unusual.....
