2746  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 67 master cylinder research question on: January 21, 2007, 06:33:03 PM
I do know that casting was used across most of the Chevy line and was used for several years. I do not know when that casting was first released.
2747  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 1967 (Sept 66) convertible on: January 21, 2007, 02:43:28 AM
Some of the very first cars built were convertibles. The pilot cars were used to prove out the production process and consisted of all models. Production (after the pilots) was generally low option cars for the first 2000 cars, then a full mix from then on out.

Can you post your trim tag data?

Yeah, I edited his post but couldn't figure out how to delete the poll. Smiley

I'd guess that it was changed. While they don't fail often, it wouldn't be a surprising warranty replacement item.

Thanks for taking the time to help!

Loren,
That would be great.Kevin's master cylr conflicts with some other cars. Your car is thus an interesting date to us since it's right before his car.
Thanks!
2750  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 69 Z munice on: January 16, 2007, 12:47:15 AM
The database has 14,000 67-69 Camaros in it. Most are not Z's. Smiley
Yes, you have the red Z with the X7 on the rear bulkhead, right?
2751  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Is VIN# 124378N474652 in the database? on: January 15, 2007, 11:57:07 PM
No, it's not.
If you could send me a copy of the docs, I'll add it so we're on the lookout for it. Smiley
2752  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 67 master cylinder research question on: January 15, 2007, 11:20:08 PM
Looks Julian to me. Most m/cylinders are dated Julian from what I've seen.
Thanks!
Anyone else have a 67 drum brake car they can check?
2753  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / VIN list - Fencl Tufo hipo 69 Camaros on: January 15, 2007, 04:17:26 AM
This was posted on the old forum and I just realized it needs to be on the new one too. Smiley

Fencl Tufo Chevrolet was a hi-po Chicago area dealer. Some paperwork from the dealership still survives. This is not a complete list of F-T cars, just the 1969 Camaro hi-po models (SS350 minimum) that someone saved paperwork on. If you have a car that's on this list, I can put you in contact with a person who can help document your car.

2754  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: New CRG Research Bulletin Available on the 69 Pacer/Z10 on: January 14, 2007, 04:10:05 PM
Actually, I have an update to the cooling article that's mostly done. It's the one that is the most in need of updating.

I'm working on brake and battery info and I've started redoing a couple sections of the site. Not enough hours in the day.... Smiley
2755  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 67 SS? (was 5y code) on: January 13, 2007, 02:01:19 AM
From the pics, it looks like an SS. Congrats!
2756  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 69 Z munice on: January 13, 2007, 01:32:17 AM
Nope, it's not in there.
Keep looking, hopefully you'll find my trans since my car came from there....!
2757  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: New CRG Research Bulletin Available on the 69 Pacer/Z10 on: January 13, 2007, 01:25:44 AM
Thanks guys. It took a while to pull together, but it's nice to get some facts on those cars out there.

Now I just need to finish the seatbelt article!!
2758  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Original calipers, '69 Z on: January 11, 2007, 02:37:47 AM
I've had both bad hoses and stuck calipers. Make sure you get good hoses. Arghhh, you have no idea how much agravation a bad quality new hose causes.... (the cheap new hose can make it appear that there's air in the system).
2759  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 67 rear axle codes on: January 11, 2007, 02:34:59 AM
It's the only axle code that's been observed and doesn't show up in *any* documentation.
It came out mid-year 67 and I can't see how it's different than the PA axle.
2760  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 1969 Z/28 proportioning valve on: January 10, 2007, 08:14:54 AM
Yes. Some drum brake 10 bolt cars have had it too!
