I'd recommend posting the complete VIN, cause there's 999 cars that match that description.
Just require proof of ownership (pic of VIN?) before you sell it will guarantee it's going back to the car.

I'd also be interested in a picture of the POP for our files (not to be shared or published).

I did see on Team Camaro (IIRC) that some guy found a roofing material that was the same and much cheaper.

There are two main differences that I see.
At the bottom of page one, it says "Restoration drive train."

The body was painted color. Then the firewall was blacked out.
It was masked off - no tape lines, just a fade away....

Look at the firewall on an original car.

They are just ID marks. The plant knew what the stripe combos meant. There were only 2 or 3 different shafts used every year.

I think Charley (and GaryL) summed it up pretty well.
With a completely assembed car, it's hard to verify the body is original. If it's done right, it can be hard to tell on a primed shell, no less a completed car.

Jerry has been traveling. I'm not sure what else he would add anyway. He told you what he found. Anything more detailed would be in the report, which is between him and the person who had the appraisal done.

I edited per Gary's request. He was able to edit his own posts on TC.

The only thing that seems fishy here is the rash of opioniated newbies

I'm not sure when the change to hi-po occurred, but it was in place by 67. I think all (except Corvair and Corvette).
