Please start a new topic when you have a question.

As discussed here, http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=4688.0, the 2 barrel carb has plenty of flow. Though the 4bbl looks cooler, it won't necessarily run faster.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Trans date vs. engine date code

I have a documented LA Z/28 with the exact same date on the trans, rear axle, and front pad stamping.

Has anybody seen this before?
Yes. Not uncommon on base V8 auto cars, not real common on a Z.

Kurts, Will you be posting the pictures anytime soon? Thanks, Cory
Not at my current rate of progress....  Just being realistic. :)

That's true, but look at the Tarrytown plant pics again. Those parts were getting used up at one a minute. There wasn't inventory control, but sheer volume dictate that a lot of the parts were fresh. Not all, but a lot. :)
LOS also was a lower volume plant, so that affected inventory more than at NOR.

Yes, I'm swamped (aka busy).

Most of these cars have been pretty loaded with options. Not sure if that was a local thing or GM deciding that's what they should build for the market.

The chrome is part of the style trim (RPO Z21) option in 68.
Yes, the wheels, hood, and high-back seats aren't original. :)

I sent you an email. :)

69s are unique, having holes along the front of the top rail to mount the condenser.
Those holes were a running change, implemented in January 69, IIRC. My 01B car doesn' t have them.

Thanks!
I'd be curious what factory options he sees on the car, assuming it's somewhat original and not a drag car. :)

Trim is interior trim - black I believe.
Chassis # is the VIN. It should be the # on the title.

I don't think Suisse made as many 68's, which is why they are uncommon.

If there's a problem getting the tag pic (no hurry), the Chassis # would be helpful to me.

Thanks!

Hakan,
It says it's a V8 Camaro coupe.
The release # is a their tracking code.
MA is a 327 manual (probably 4 speed).
Colors are probably white with a black interior.

Can you email me a picture of the cowl tag? This is only the second Swiss 68 that we've seen!

Thanks!
