CNBC has a video out with Dan Ammann doing a test drive of the new Camaro. Also, some pictures of an undisguised one. Petty cool. I believe the reveal is today... Whoops, make that tomorrow.  ;D
Anyone going to Detroit for the unveiling?

« on: March 09, 2015, 11:53:56 PM »
An offer: If you are active on this forum and do plan to come to the Charlotte Autofair, I'll be happy to send you two tickets (as in "vendor" tickets for the entire Autofair). PM me with your real name and mailing address. I'll send the tickets to you the first week in April. (You will NOT be placed on any soliciting list.)  Also, even if you have gotten tickets through me before, you still need to PM for this spring's tickets.

Several on this forum from the greater Charlotte area are in local Camaro/Chevy clubs and will be there on the weekend.

If you have questions, please post them here or PM me before March 14.  I'm going to be very busy the last half of this month and probably will not be able to get back to you before April.

I'm posting this early, because the meet registration deadline is March 2.  Look Here for meet brochure.

Here is More Info on Autofair

Several on this forum from the greater Charlotte area are in local Camaro/Chevy clubs and will be there on the weekend.

Plenty of room for Camaros in classes 27 (standard production) and 36 (hi-performance), as well as HPOF or DPC. But you do have to be an AACA member to register for the Spring meet.

General Discussion / Charlotte New Car Show
« on: November 22, 2014, 10:57:24 PM »
Here's a picture of the 68 at the Charlotte New Car Show.  Our club displayed forty-some cars from 1914 to 1978 in a section called "The History of Cars".
That's a brand new restoration of a 442 parked next to me.  Beautiful car!
(Sorry about the glare in the picture.  Cars look great under the bright lights, but it makes for lousy pictures...)

Just out of curiosity, is anyone going to Hershey this week? Anyone showing? Judging?

General Discussion / Auction Last Weekend at Auburn
« on: September 01, 2014, 03:53:33 PM »
Did anyone see the auction last weekend at the American Auction in Auburn?
I've been to one of their auctions before and found most of the sale figures to be in line.
Pretty good mix of cars, but maybe a little light on Camaros.
Just wondering what others think...
I'm interested in what Mecum does in Dallas and how car sales do in Charlotte later this month.

General Discussion / Fall Charlotte Autofair, September 18 - 21
« on: August 09, 2014, 06:34:34 PM »
An offer: If you are active on this forum and do plan to come to the Fall Charlotte Autofair, I'll be happy to send you two tickets (as in "vendor" tickets for the entire Autofair). PM me with your real name and mailing address. I'll send the tickets to you when they come available in September. (You will NOT be placed on any soliciting list.) If you have gotten tickets from me in the past, I still need you to let me know you are coming, so PM your name and address, as well.

Unlike the Spring event, there is no AACA meet that Saturday.  Instead, there will be an HNR regional show, which will allow some modified cars. (Yes, it is a new day....) And there will be approximately 25 other clubs showing during the event, as well. (Most of them on Saturday and Sunday.)

Several on this forum from the greater Charlotte area are in local Camaro/Chevy clubs and will be there on the weekend.  How about you guys posting here what days you will be there, what car you are bringing, and which club?

And if you have a CRG shirt, wear it!  It is a great way to pick a fellow CRG-er out of the crowd.

General Discussion / Collector Car Appreciation Day, July 11
« on: June 27, 2014, 11:40:15 PM »
Put your Camaro on the road or to a cruise-in on July 11.  SEMA is, again, sponsoring COLLECTOR CAR APPRECIATION DAY to remind everyone (especially legislators) that we are an important and responsible part of our culture.
Besides, it's a great excuse to drive the Camaro!

« on: June 15, 2014, 06:53:03 PM »
The new classes for muscle cars are paying off.  More First Gens showing up at national meets.
Sorry for glare on pictures... sun moved from bright to overcast all day.
