2  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Ebay DZ motor... on: September 08, 2014, 05:56:07 AM
If the intake was not a repo, it was a good deal actually...if not just for the x-ram and internals.
3  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: LS on cowl tag instead of LOS on: September 08, 2014, 05:51:43 AM
I had a 69 Camaro with NBR instead of NOR...  if my memory serves me..it's been many years...   I also had one that had 0B (or 0C..I cant remember the week) for the cowl tag date... I think maybe the 1 got cut off by one of the rivet holes !! I doubt they are 1 of 1 situations and I'm sure these are probably already known factory mistakes.

7  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: Leaf spring removal on: September 18, 2013, 09:05:44 AM
That is common. You need to cut the heads off the bolts...then you can fish out the remaining carriage nuts inside the frame once the leaf assembly is removed. I would use a cut-off wheel and try not damage the bucket. other option is a torch.
8  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: Need paintcode for 67 CC ermine white... on: September 18, 2013, 09:03:15 AM
thanks guys...  that PPg color is apparently no longer available in the Deltron(according to the paint rep.) That was my first choice.

i will try that site again and/or call...thanks again.

11  Model Specific Discussions / Trans-Am Camaros / Re: Heater delete on: March 19, 2013, 05:26:48 AM
Hey Jon,

Thanks a bunch for the pics...good stuff !!! leads to a few more questions.

So next question is what did they do on the hetaer delete cars for the firewall pad??
Did they have a pad that had no cutout for the heater core access?
Were heater delete plates seamsealed to make weathertight?? looks like remains of some kind of sealer on that one plate..??

thanks again !!
12  Model Specific Discussions / Trans-Am Camaros / Heater delete on: March 17, 2013, 11:47:28 AM
Thanks Robert,

that is what I was looking for. As far as detail, I am trying where it is practical and feasable.
Although I am trying to use some parts that Ive had around for some years now for the build...as my budget is not unlimited.
But, Im sure I can source some of the correct screws.

Thanks, Max

Hey guys, great site and pics !!!    Ive been looking at all the pics and have not found a good pic of what I was looking for. Maybe I should be asking in another thread..??    What type of fastener did they use to attach the heater delete plates?   Thanks in advance !   max
14  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Need pic of 67 Z firewall on: December 31, 2012, 10:48:25 AM
I beleive my 67 Z may have an extra hole or two in the firewall. There seems to be an extra 3/4" hole above where the steering column comes thru and the gas pedal linkage area...and various smaller drilled holes more near the center wire loom and heater box area. I cannot find any reference to this hole in the ass. manual. I'd like to fix whatever necessary to make it correct before paint. Only option on my car besides the standard Z stuff is the very rare shoulder belts. Also car is latest cowl tag Z known...07C car, if that matters.

Can anyone post some clear pics of thier bare Z firewall before restoration for reference? or email to mraffaele69@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance,
and thanks CRG, Max

Happy New Year Kurt and to everyone here at CRG

Why do you think the car body is an original 4-speed car? Wasn't the hole in the tunnel the same on 4-speeds and automatics in 67 Huh Correct me if I am wrong please.
