Decoding/Numbers / 69 Z - number bona fides

Hi
I'm looking at  a blue 69 Z. Any thoughts on whether these items look legit?  The VIN and dates line up; however, the partial VINs are crooked.  Not sure if this suspicious or not.  This car was the subject of a magazine article several years back.
Thanks!

Not sure where to post this:

Was looking at a Z28 for sale with VIN 124379L507798.   Would CRG have any information in its database about this VIN?

Thanks

Case number is 660 and the dates line up.  But the font on transmission VIN stamp doesn't match the font type of block VIN stamp, which I now remember being told should match.  I think I've answered my question.

I'm looking at 69Z to purchase.  The seller sent me this photo of the tranny VIN stamp.  It doesn't look right to me.  Anyone care to comment?

OK, thanks guys.  I don't have any greater resolution photos, or a pic of the pad stamp.  These pics were taken with my BB while squeezing myself underneath the car, and I wasn't able to get a pic of the pad without removing the alternator.   The pad is properly dated and it looked to be OK to my eye, but...

Yes Kurt, this is a burgundy RS Z, although the current owner isn't a Rob.  I take it the VIN is in the CRG database.

OK, it's enough that there's doubt about the stamps.  I've got other complaints about the car too, so I'll pass on it.  A knowledgeable friend of mine here had question about these stamps too.  I shouldn't have second-guessed him.

Anyone care to comment on whether these partial VIN stampings look correct?  I'm considering a purchase, but the differing fonts are giving me pause. They're from a 69Z.  Thanks

Not sure if I'm helping but here's my 2 cents.

My 67 is a U17 car (tach and gauges) and my carrier is original.  The broadcast code on it is NK. That said, mine is an SS350 car, so I don't know if that code changes with the tach redline or not.  For example, my redline is 5.5., but a 327 car will generally have a 5K redline.

Alright thanks John.  Same type of code as the brake part and spring tape decals offered at Ricks.  Many of these codes are well known then.   No one know the broadcast for the speed warning/tach cluster?!

Decoding/Numbers / 67 dash cluster

Not sure if any guys who know will divulge it, but does anyone know the correct two-letter ECL for a 67 dash cluster with the speed warning (U15) and tach (U17)?   Am shopping for one and would like to when I find one whether its the real deal or not.

Thanks
