My originals are still intact and in place, 69 RS/Z. I guess I should get pics. It seems parts and documentation of these cars never ends.  :)

My 69 z-28 is Garnet Red with white stripes and the paint code is - -. Was under the impression that white stripes as opposed the default black called for the special paint code. This car has a 52 52 paint code. My car was built in LA maybe different code? Just curious.

My Z has white stripes, but it's because it has a white vinyl top. 52 E

I fail to see where the owner thinks he has so much leverage. Only one potential buyer.  :-\

VIN and TT do not appear to align.

Here's pics (not the clearest) of my 69 Z with Doug's 1 5/8 Headers. Fit without any issues. I used to have hooker headers, and I had to make a slightly modified bell crank to clear, but with the Doug's there were no issues.

Will Do; Give me a couple of days.

I have Dougs 1 5/8 headers, and my reverse lockout works. I do have a bell crank that I had custom made with an offset for the rod which goes to the reverse lever. If interested, I can take some pics.

One Z item which would be tough to find if not original is the 15 x 7 AD Rally Wheels dated before this car's production date. Early Z item only and one I would be looking for if I was interested in this car.

I'm like you, can't keep up with the inflated prices over the last few years. Using the Hagerty "valuation tool", they're showing 80-90K for a number 3 (condition), 69Z! :o Hard to imagine. I'm guessing those would have the original block.

Sounds like you're familiar with what to look for. Check the partial VIN on the trans...and bring on the photos, please. :)

Yes photos would help. There are quite a few Z only detail items that may still be present. Original factory Hurst with back drive linkage present? If the X3 on the rear bulkhead is original, it is a Z. My Z is also 10B 1968. I have pics of my rear bulkhead X mark. Same week might be similar. Driver's side dual exhaust plate present? VIN range should be 516xxx-521xxx.
