here is another funny response, but in reality its something that all of us that own 69 camaros should be concerned about. there will soon be more 69 convertables out there than gm made with the repop convertable bodys that are being reproduced and soon they will be selling the coupes. well its a topic that has me wondering will it make our real 69 camaros worth more or less? something to ponder now that they are repoping phonie camaro bodys now.maybe we should get a number of real 69 camaros before the fake ones or clones take over ;D

Kevin is correct, its a decal and can be bought at the dealer.maybe your car was repainted or the hood replaced for some reason but i doubt that slp forgot to put a decal on.on another note are you sure its a real 35th ss anniversary? look at the option decal on the drivers door and make sure it has the Z4C option code!!!  ;D

did you try to lean out the carburator as much as possible?also make sure you use a hot spark plug so all the fuel gets burned.if your heads are in good condition (no bad valve seats) you should be able to reduce the bad emissions.you can also try a high energy ignition system but that would cost some $$ and include a distributor swap.I would try the high energy ignition before modifying my exhaust. :)

General Discussion / Re: casting numbers
« on: November 17, 2005, 10:34:16 PM »
This question may have been answered before. What is the reason for having different casting numbers for the same size engine in the same year? Different casting factories, different metal values, different applications? ???
well as for the big block 396 engines there were hi perf 4 bolt main engines and 2 bolt main engines that had different casting numbers,as for the small block engines im not sure if the 350 ci 2bbl carb had a different number than the 4 bbl carb engine.there were so many different engine options back then it would be hard not to say that maybe a 307,327,350,or a 396 and a 427 might have 4 different casting numbers each for many reasons.maybe someone here might have this info.good question though and im sure it will be duscussed further.

Im curious how many ford advertisments are in that car and driver issue that trashed the 67 camaro compared to chevy advertisments.did you ever watch motorweek? boy they are so biased towards imports and trash domestic cars.they really favor the jap cars and their commercials are nissian commercials.just my 2 cents.
