on the 67 and earlyer blocks there is a vent baffle in the lifter gally,is that the correct term for that part or is it called something else.

Originality / 68 Z/28 nos valve covers

Back in 1983 I bought GM 68 z28 valve covers,they are new in the original boxes and I noticed some that are on ebay have the O stamping on them.My covers that I bought from my local chevy dealer in 1983 do not have that O stamping.Was that a factory stamping only and not a part stamping?

Is there any diagrams on the 67 cruise control unit and how it is hooked up to the carb? Also any info on how it is operated? How was it set by the driver and so on.

What did the original console hold down bolts look like? Did they have a shoulder or were they phillips style. The bolts I am referring to are the 2 that hold the console towards the back.

I know this is an easy for some but I forgot how the coil gets wired with the factory tach? Does the brown wire and yellow wire go on the pos side and the black from the dist go on the neg side?

Were the tank straps painted black or left galvanized? Also was the insulator between the strap and tank felt or rubber?
