« on: December 28, 2005, 07:23:15 PM »
Hi does anyone know what front buckets I could buy that would bolt right in. The idea of changing any of the metal or any welding on the Car is not an option in my book. Help would be greatly appreciated on this one Thanks Guys or any Chicks that have one of these. Mine is 69  stock 4 speed with console and console has to stay. Im taking mine to PIR this spring and am gonna spank all foriegn trash that wants to step up to the line. Hate hearing them talk about fantasy horsepower that has no Torque.

OK , how many are registered with motor vehicle records. There has to be at least one computer hacker who is into muscle cars that could find the info

Have heard of other products that are less expensive than Por 15, like ever free is one I think. Is Por 15 the king. I am close to doing the pans and trunk on mine. Money of course is a consideration, But I want this to last and to not have to do it again. Thanks

Originality / Re: Trans tunnel cutting at factory
« on: December 20, 2005, 03:05:49 PM »
The 69 three speed holes may have been stamped, but all four speeds were torched. They were still torching the four speed holes up to at least 1981 in the Camaros. If you have a stamped hole in yous it is most likely more of a square shape and a three speed hole. So I beg to differ as I have taken apart factory original Camaros with the torched holes. Don't really matter what anyone says, seeing is believing

General Discussion / Re: Why are 69s worth more than 67s
« on: December 19, 2005, 05:53:28 PM »
Hey just having a lot of fun with this one. I mean look at the opening question, My friend John and I have another friend named Craig who would ask same question. We have to poke fun at him nonstop. 90 percent of the time He does't realise it. The 69 Camaro relationship to the 67 68 ones concerning Guys is kind of like dating the ugly sister so Your friend can date the Hot one. hahaha

See 67 68 Guys   69 Camaros are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad
hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe. Right on 69RSZ, but why are you looking for a 67 Z/28  Sell the 68Z/28 and the 35th anniversary thing, combine it with what you would spend on a 67 Z/28 and go get a Yenko or a COPO 69 then you would have best of both worlds. Big and small block 69.s And while You are at it give the 71 Chevelle to some old lady. hehehehehehehe

General Discussion / Re: Vinyl Top
« on: December 17, 2005, 02:02:35 AM »
From a racing perspective,  vynil tops put a few pounds in the very last place You would want the weight. I see lots of vynil topped Camaros on Ebay. Myself keep the vynil top and the convertibles, Ill take a Hardtop any Day. The above are correct, tearing off the vynil was the first thing I or friends did over the years. Vynil tops beg for rust to come in.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: Early vin #
« on: December 16, 2005, 03:59:44 PM »
Why are people going off on a tangent, After 1973 all american cars turned to garbage, Honda has always made garbage, a front wheel drive car is not a real car but simply a scrap pile of tin waiting to be recycled as soon as the running gear goes bad. And then these lousy manufacturers turn this garbage out and make funny little stories about why front wheel drives are being made. The only reason front wheel drive cars are made is it is cheaper to make one that way and it leaves a bigger profit margine  for the auto manufacturer

General Discussion / Re: REAR END DATE
« on: December 16, 2005, 03:49:59 PM »
Your engine dates and other dates all match up to say they are original components. I never said all paperwork was fake. But I can have duplicated any and all paperwork for these cars. So who is to say any paperwork you found is original. And You are right who would waste time to duplicate paperwork on a base Camaro, does not make sense as the original running gear on a base coupe only changes value very slightly, duplicating the paperwork on a base coupe would cost more than the increase in value it would bring. And as far as identifying rhe fake papers, I guess if you are a scientist with all the equipment you need to spot a good forgery then it wouldn't be to hard. Paperwork is not the answer to the originality of these. Date coded parts are.  Like I said before get G.M. to verify what you have by your VIN if you have any luck doing that please let me know as it would increase the value of mine tremendously.
