General Discussion / 2014 Norwood Event is planned

OK Here we go.. We have a free event planned at the legacy GM Norwood Parts warehouse on August 9th.

This is a joint micro event planned by the UAW 674 and GM in conjunction with an open house event where you will be able to display your car, tour the GM facility, meet current employees of GM and meet retired Norwood workers.

Cars attending (that I schedule) will get a preferential display area. This is an outdoor event so plan accordingly for the weather.

Some Background: The GM Parts warehouse was located at the Norwood plant until 1965 when it and its employees were relocated to another nearby location along with the Norwood Zone office which then became the Cincinnati Zone office.

General Discussion / Order status "Echoes Of Norwood"

As many of you probably know I have written a book  documenting the history of the Norwood Ohio GM Assembly Plant.   Pre-order sales have vastly exceeded my expectations so –We did the math and calculated that we actually ran out of the first batch of the special paper that will be used for the initial print run with this past Friday’s listing of orders. 

All books ordered after 1-25 will ship as part of the second paper order which should only delay shipment by a few of days at the most.

As of right now all orders should ship either at the start of the week of February 4th or if part of the second paper batch- the end of that week.     

Ironically John Z’s order  will be the first book printed on the second batch of paper.   Thanks for the order John!
