I know this isn't Camaro related, but I do own one. My wife and granddaughter went to Lowes in Dover for flowers and this is what they found when they came back out. Diane, my wife, said there was nothing near when she parked and nothing around when they came out. What could have made this damage that high up? Man I hate people. Sorry guys, I don't hate everyone, just the ones that do things like this.

Originality / Heater cover wiring clips.
« on: April 04, 2014, 04:02:47 PM »
Hey guys, how many clips are there in the engine compartment side heater cover for the wiring? Any idea where they go? I don't know why, but I'm thinking there should be two??

Originality / Coils.
« on: April 04, 2014, 12:56:59 AM »
Other then the #270 coil (we all know that is for the ZL2 set up) is there any hard evidence yet on the #293 and #298 coils? I've been seeing a lot of #293 coils showing up on ebay lately. None of which says for Z28. I'm still a little confused as to what is SUPPOSED to be on the flat hood Z28. Currently I have several #298 coils as spares but no #293 coils and if I need one they are cheap at the moment.

Originality / Rear brake cable bracket.
« on: March 07, 2014, 12:44:41 AM »
Hey guys...need some help please. Does the multi leaf set up use the same bracket that is in this pic to hold the rear brake cable? I was told they do. Looking in the 69 A.I.M. there is a drawing showing them on page 70, UPC 5 C2 item #1, but don't know if the drawing is for mono or multi leaf. I couldn't find any clear images with them on a 69 Z28 on line and I would like to confirm either way. If those where factory installed then I need a pair since mine are missing. My car had traction bars on it when I bought it so I had to locate plates and never realized I was missing those brackets.

Thanks fellas.

General Discussion / Stainless Chambered exhaust
« on: February 07, 2014, 04:14:23 AM »
Any of you fellas follow the stainless chambered exhaust that was on ebay? I can't believe it but I put my bid in just for $hits and giggles and ended up winning. Go figure. I didn't think I would have won this by any means. Surprised the heck out of me. What do ya think, did I do good? or no.

Originality / 69 AM antenna
« on: January 27, 2014, 03:08:05 AM »
Hey guys need some help here. Would this be OK or not OK for a 69 Camaro? and...is it hard to replace the cable if I can use it. The auction indicates other 69 GM cars so I wouldn't think the Camaro would have a diifferent style. Whaddaya think?

« on: January 26, 2014, 04:16:11 AM »
Hey guys, whats new?...it's been a while since I last posted. Been out sick for the past few months or so with bronchitis and then pneumonia and back to bronchitis again and finally getting to the point of wanting to mess with my computers again. I hope everybody had a good Christmas and New Years, mine was in bed. Now I have some catching up to do so bare with me. I gotta do a search to see where I left off and I'll pick up from there. Feels great to breath again.

Originality / Trunk and header emblem.
« on: November 14, 2013, 08:43:55 PM »
Is there a difference between the trunk emblem and the header panel emblem for the first gen 68-69? I have 2 with separate numbers on the back of the "BY CHEVROLET" side. One emblem has PT. NO. 3916654  C-1, and the other emblem has 7752901    then a circle with something inside it and then a  2. I have seen both of these cast numbers surfing online but don't know much about them only to say the PT. NO. emblem says it's a 68-69 Camaro trunk/header panel emblem and nothing comes up on the other number. Weird, unless one of them is a reproduction?

Originality / 69 Z28 passenger exhaust manifold pic
« on: November 09, 2013, 11:21:03 PM »
Hi guys, need some help, anybody have a stock factory style exhaust system using the factory exhaust manifolds still on their car?..Z28 or SS350 might or might not matter, but I'm gonna assume it doesn't.  I need a pic of the heat valve and it's orientation/clocking on the passenger side manifold.

Originality / 69 Z28 ignition coil numbers
« on: October 13, 2013, 08:06:32 AM »
Just need to clarify something guys...The 69 Z28 came with either a #298 BR or a #270 BR coil depending on what air cleaner was used correct? Non ever came with #293? I'm assuming the #293 fit everything non performance or am I wrong? I have a few laying around in my spare parts and the survivor 69 Impala I have has a #293.

Originality / Open element air cleaner
« on: October 13, 2013, 07:09:45 AM »
Hey guys, I found an open element air cleaner "supposed to be for a 69 Z28" The price was right and I couldn't wait for pics of an OEM piece to compare it. I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake. It really doesn't look bad but I just want to make sure what I bought is OEM and not reproduction or god forbid one for a Rochester  carb. Anybody have a pic of the bottom piece? Top and bottom of it so I can look at it? The pics I have are too close to even tell. Anybody care to give me a thumps up one way or the other? I had sent email asking if it had the silk screening under the lid, but I don't think I would have gotten an answer before someone else snatched it up. Know what I mean?

General Discussion / Just checking...
« on: September 29, 2013, 03:53:36 AM »
Would anybody pay this much for this alternator? Seems a bit high even if it would be a good date for somebody that could use it. Kind of puts these out of any kind of range for me.
