General Discussion / Question on this.
« on: July 10, 2023, 12:13:23 AM »
Hello everyone. Been a while. Helping a guy out with this. What do y'all think? If that supposed to be a BLH that would be a 1990 305, but not with that casting number. Unless of course that casting number has been modified, which I have read is happening.

Originality / Power steering hose Clips.
« on: June 02, 2023, 01:57:22 AM »
Hello all. Been a long time since my last log in. Made some changes in my life and it's time to get back to my car.

I did a redo of the power steering system that was installed on my car when I first acquired it in 1999. Car had a leaking 67 power steering box and pump with 68 z28 pump brackets, crappy hoses and a lot of zip ties. It's all 69 now except for the power steering box, which is a 1980 WS6 TA unit. I need the clips that hold the hoses in check and out of the way. I want to say there are like 3 or 4 different pieces, but I'm really unsure. I have my car with me, but I don't have any of my research and notes where I'm living now so I can start looking for those pieces. Any idea what I would need to look for? Y'alls help, as always, will be appreciated.

Thanks all.
Gary

General Discussion / Been away for a while...
« on: July 27, 2016, 03:22:37 AM »
I've been away for a bit and need some help folks. Trying to log in to Team Camaro today and not having any luck. I see there have been some changes since I was last logged in. I'm a lifetime member, or at least I was before the changes and when I enter my site name and password it asks me to verify if I'm real, but nothing is there for me to verify that I'm a human being. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Gary.

Restoration / Wire files??
« on: September 03, 2014, 03:26:02 AM »
Hey guys, can anyone help me out with something?? I have several oem 69 silver grills that I can use as parts to restore and make a whole grill for a spare, in case I ever need one. I've been wanting to section out a few places from a good grill center with a broken surround as replacements for a grill that has a broken section or two with good surround and was thinking if I could find a wire file maybe the size of a guitar high E string I could file those sections I need to make the repairs. I've been looking off and on for a while and haven't found anything like this. Anybody ever seen something remotely like this? Seems to me the thinner the better to section out what I need.

General Discussion / Shift knob
« on: July 30, 2014, 03:35:07 AM »
I can't believe someone would pay this much for a shift knob or is just Canadian prices? If they do, I have one that still has paint in the shift pattern I could get plenty for.

Originality / Green tip dipstick
« on: June 25, 2014, 11:45:21 PM »
Anybody ever determine if the green tip round finger grip dipstick was ever used on the 69 DZ engine? I found one I had stashed away and remember this being touched on at some point. The handle has the indentation on the neck of the handle and this is on the stick. Just curious. This could probably be used on any number of small blocks I'm thinking if not used on the DZ engine. The one for my engine has the flat finger grip.

General Discussion / Came within 4 miles of our house.
« on: May 27, 2014, 11:49:50 PM »
Just got these pics from a friend of mine who had their house destroyed last week. Something rare for us , but scary as hell. This house is 4 miles from our house. Their house was hit and one of the neighbors caught this on the way out going southeast towards Dover. No idea what size it was, but looks big to me.

Originality / Owners manual plastic bag
« on: May 24, 2014, 04:14:58 AM »
Hey guys, I'm back again with another question...Were the plastic bags the owners manuals were in printed the same date as the owners manual? I had neither when I bought my Z but have since bought the correct dated manual. The plastic bag is dated 3-19-68 though whereas the manual is dated April 69 Third Edition for my 06A car. Anybody have their original bag still that can look? I think there were 3 versions of the manual but was wondering about the bag.
