Cars in Barns! Couldn't remember where I found those pictures from  ::). Thanks ZLP955. If some of you haven't checked out that site it's a good one for looking at project cars. Sadly it hasn't been updated since March though. I save a lot of project car pictures to my computer to use as screen savers. Gives me hope that I might find an affordable project someday seeing all the good ones that are still out there even though they are getting fewer and harder to find.

Beware of this one! It is definitely a fake ad. I saved pictures of this car from the internet back in 2012. Still have them on my computer. It was somebody's barn find.

Got mine from Sears about a year ago in one of their bit driver sets because I ran into the exact same problem. Came with a screwdriver handle and I think around 15 different bits, (torx, Phillips, clutch, flathead, etc...), that inserted into the handle. Pretty cheap to if I recall.

Been looking at a lot of wiring diagrams and most of the ones I'm seeing are different. I do see a fusible link coming out of the horn relay feeding to the ignition switch, lighter and lights on one diagram, and if it was blown I can see the problem happening as described above. Just wondering if the wire coming from the junction block going to the horn relay was a fusible link as well. Doesn't appear that it is, just trying to gain myself some knowledge! :D Don't know the condition the car in the thread but I did have the same problem in my 1969 base car while it was my daily driver. Used to have to wiggle the battery ground cable and everything came back to life, (found it to be a bad cable). Wasn't long after this that I began tearing it down.

If you had power before the battery change, make sure the battery is charged and hooked correctly. Then if that is good to go, I'd look at my ground wire and make sure it is not broken or corroded to the point where you have no contact and check your positive cable as well. But it does sound like a battery or ground issue to me because if there is no ground nothing in the car will work.

Thanks John. I thought I had read somewhere that it was a dealer or owner installed item but wasn't for sure.

Really Nice car! That's awesome that the car has stayed in your family all these years.

I've noticed on the cowl plenum cars the cut out in the firewall is pretty ragged and looks hand cut, but does anybody know if they had a template or guide to go by when cutting this out? Did they cut these out as the car was going down the assembly line? Hopefully someone on here will snatch it up and continue to post about it. Will be a really nice car when done!

Looking at the picture of the VIN it would also appear that the dash has been replaced. The corners look way to squared off. What do you guys think? Great combination on that car though! Really like Fathom Green.

Thanks again for the input. Gonna try the stick and tube to see which works better tomorrow. I've blasted the wheels so I am starting with some clean metal and hopefully they'll turnout ok.

Thanks for the input guys. Gonna try the JB Weld Steel Stick. Read up on this stuff and it sounds like it is exactly what I need. Thanks again. ;D

Saw the previous post on restoring wheels and was going to do the same thing to mine for the face of the rim for cosmetics. I am more interested in the bead area if filler would work well there and be able to seal the tire once it is mounted. In the article in musclecar review did they address repairing this area? Thanks for any input.

I have some original steel wheels that have some pitting in the bead sealing area and would like to save the wheels. Anyone have any recommendation for repairing them?

White Post is very highly regarded here in VA. Can't go wrong in choosing them for any brake work you need.

Well from what I read on the CRG site on the D80 option, the only cars that were required to have spoilers were the pace car replicas and later build date Z/28's. Still would like to know when the spoilers became a mandatory option on Z/28's though.
