Restoration / Accurate 1969 dash panel replacement?
« on: March 25, 2017, 12:07:13 AM »
Wondering who makes an accurate dash replacement panel for 1969 with the correct area cut out for the VIN tag. The couple that I have seen are really squared off and don't look good at all to me. My 69 dash is pretty gone and will need replacement but am hesitant to do so until I find a good replacement for it. Thanks for any input!

Just looking for some opinions on which ones anyone has used or their preferences. Getting ready to swap my 67 over to power front disk brakes and going to get all new lines front to rear and on up to the master cylinder. Just looking for some input or thoughts on the subject. Planning to use original spindles and brackets along with single piston calipers from a 69 I acquired a number of years ago. Other than the calipers, would like to make it look factory stock for 1967. Any comments are appreciated! Thanks!

General Discussion / Found this one for sale on craigslist Atlanta.
« on: January 07, 2017, 06:01:21 PM »
Found an interesting one on craigslist for anyone interested. Special paint 4N L35 SS/RS 396. Haven't called, but ad says all original matching numbers in case someone is interested. I was wondering about the claim on the trim tag code L209B. Anyone have any ideas? Car does sound like a nice one though!

I have some original steel wheels that have some pitting in the bead sealing area and would like to save the wheels. Anyone have any recommendation for repairing them?

Decoding/Numbers / 1968 Z/28 block code "MI" COPO 9665 info.
« on: January 06, 2006, 11:51:30 PM »
I like to consider myself pretty knowledgable on 1st gen camaros, but I ran across something today that I was hoping someone may be able to help shed some light on for me. I've always been under the impression that the only 1968 Z/28 block code was "MO", but today I ran across a piece of information stating that a block code of "MI" was used when COPO 9665 was specified. Anyone out there got any information on this and if it is correct? I've never heard of the "MI" block code for a 68 Z/28 and was wondering if anyone could verify they exist. Also was wondering if chevrolet did indeed produce a COPO 9665 in 1968, what did the package consist of?  Another COPO for 1968 I would like some information on is 9737 anyone know what this option consisted of? Thanks in advance.
