Remember it takes two to play that game.

Not really, at BJ the owner can bid on his own car. So it only takes one unsuspecting fool.

That's the first intelligent comment I've read yet. The intent of this forum should be to pass on good information not speculation.

It would be interesting to know why Evening Orchid... It looked fine on the larger Impala....  ???

I'm fairly certain they also painted Malibu's that color in '65 as I recall seeing a few of them...  :)
And on Corvairs. Killer color, but not for everyone.

What shows here is the wedge shape of the front fenders. They would almost act like a spoiler themselves. I've not seen the cars from this angle before.

You are correct about the spinners.

If it is a real teal LL car it would be a rare one. The color as said before looks like Lemans blue.  I had a LL Z-28.

look at the glove box tire pressure sticker. it should be for 15 inch tires.

I don't know the story, but if he had speculation before imagine it now that he has THE block. All the experts will know it's a restamp. GOOD for you, RonnieJ!! Wish someone would have my original block.

I would not use gaskets, the General didn't.

I'm NO expert, but the two J's seem to be from different stamp sets in that picture. One's fatter and one's longer. Besides not being in line as everyone seems to think they should be.

Restoration / Re: Flash Chrome - Recommendations for a reputable shop?
« on: December 05, 2014, 03:53:18 PM »
Flash chrome is just nickle and chrome, no copper as you say. The covers can rust just like the originals do. But the mirror finish is in the polishing. You MAY want to get the triple plating for rust protection but tell them you want to rough finish to duplicate the factory finish. Seriously, it may be more difficult then show chrome.
