Sounds like you got splainin' to do. What do you mean it keeps running?

It was also used in '64 and '65 Corvettes.

Thanks for the pictures. I saw a Mountain Green Z run at York US 30 dragstrip 56 years ago. First Z I ever saw. I wonder if this is it? Owner was a big guy.

I have heard of using ATF, but have not tried it. I have used Lestoil, an old fashioned cleaning soap found in old time grocery stores. You have to test and keep an eye on it. Might take a few days. BUT I have ruined pieces too, they blow up and dissolve. Be careful and test. I have a set of '5's floor mats that were brittle and would have broken if bent. With nothing to lose I soaked them for days in the sun, kept coating them. That was about 20 years ago, they are still soft and flexible. Is killer for tires too. The black runs off and cleans like the rubber was new.

I understand. The op wanted info on 396 bench seat 4 speed. Mine was an auto on the column. Just wondered if that mattered, apparently not.

How about custom bench, 396, and automatic on the column?

Maintenance / Re: Engine Oil Additives

Marvel Mystery oil will clean things up and MAY get rid of the tick if it is in deed caused by blockage. BUT it may clean the rings too, which may start it to use oil. I love it, I have used it in may engine including all my OLD cars. It made a high mileage VW my son owned for a while sound like new. It likes hydraulic lifters.

You could make a blueprint and have them water jetted, then retire on the profits.

So far Hershey sucks. The weather is perfect, hi 70's lo 80's. But everyone is in fast walk mode staring at their phone or driving by in a golf cart not looking at all. Spectator fields are very low in volume. Sold a $50 tail light today for $25 and guy tried to get me down. 648 cars registered for car corral, usually about 1200. Good food is GONE.

I quit going years ago when they raised the price of ham and cheese sandwiches.

If you read the old book Chevrolet Racing? it says Mark was one of the best test drivers ever. He could make the car go as fast as possible by the second or third lap. After that they were wasting time.

I saw the '69 race at Watkins Glen. Never got to see the Lola T70, one of the best looking racecars ever.

Wouldn't the heater tell if it was originally a BB? If so only BBs were available in SS package.

Might not be by the book, but the black wheels look good with the black vinyl top. Enjoy it. I can't tell by the picture, is it RHD?
