General Discussion / new AACA museum display
« on: May 13, 2017, 08:58:05 PM »
If you can get there the AACA museum has a new display that just opened last night. They took out all but three of the regular cars and put in about 60. The main display is their version of barn finds. I hate that term but they have very good choices of cars, mostly untouched originals. And the 50th ann. of Camaro/Firebird is there too. A friend's '68 Z-28 is on the turn table, think it has 17,000 miles. No cheating with pics, you have to go see it yourself. And no politics about the AACA/museum fight.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/152409614644?rmvSB=true   I have nothing in this, don't even know where  Moscow is.I saw it on Barnfinds website. It claims 375hp with a four speed but has an automatic brake pedal. Sounds expensive to me too.

General Discussion / Camaros in AACA museum
« on: January 26, 2014, 03:46:29 PM »
As some of you know I live close to the AACA museum. There's a new exhibit that started this week for custom cars. One of the customs is Ken Faust's red custom '67, think that how to spell his name. It was built about 20 years ago and is still incredible. It was dubbed the most beautiful Camaro by one of the major magazine .  There's also a red survivor '68 SS350 with white interior, very nice original car. I think I remember it being at the Md. show a few years ago. If you are in the Hershey area take a look. As always AACA members get free admission.

General Discussion / Nice RS's on homepage
« on: March 06, 2013, 08:04:02 PM »
Thanks for useing my '67 RS/SS on the homepage this month. I wish it looked that good right now, it was only a few weeks old when that picture was taken. It is a true RS/SS 396 turbo 400, with PS, column shift, and custom black bench seat. I know the car since new.

« on: January 25, 2013, 03:24:48 AM »
Was anyone at the MC and Corvette Nat'l show in Rosemont, Il.? I'm looking at the new Hemming's Musclecar magazine and am wondering about the blue '68 Z-28 pictured on page 42. Does anyone know this car? It's listed as being sold through Yenco. Is it LL teal blue? Thanks.

Take a look at the Hemmings Blog. A black RS/SS 396 car is featured. Tell me what's wrong with this never been modified car at 3:19 in the video.

General Discussion / Cloned Z-16
« on: April 12, 2012, 09:02:56 PM »
Did anyone read David Traver Adoulphus's blog on Hemmings today about the fake Z-16? Kind of goes along with the fake trim tags discussed here. I'm wondering how the guy got off with probation for a federal offense? To me this is no differance from the ZL-1 that was just sold for $451,000, total rebody, differant interior and non matching engine and trans. Rebodied would mean serial number and cowl tags would have been changed.

General Discussion / Macungie, Pa.
« on: August 06, 2011, 09:27:57 PM »
Just got back from the Macungie AACA type show. I hadn't looked before to see what the feature car was this year, it's Camaros. The show ends Sunday, tommorow. If anyone is close by they should get there, some nice looking early cars are there. Besides you can stock up on perogies while there.
