Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Just my opinion, while all paperwork can be forged, and todays technology makes it even easier, at least if you have a Canadian car you can request the paperwork from GM. If you have purchased a car with forged GM Canada paperwork and the seller has not vanished, you should be able to pursue them in court.

I have no paperwork, but for a base 307 glide, who needs it.
Good luck,

Tom

I don't have that on mine, but may not be a good reference as a previous owner replaced entire front clip after a crash. He tells me though all parts came from the salvage yard.

Steve,

Did you check the Be Cool web site? If they don't post directions find a support e-mail link and ask for them.

Good Luck,

1085  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Ceramic Coating on: March 01, 2007, 12:10:34 PM
Jerry,

Thatnks for the info, I was thinking more of the heat shield effect from coating the underside of the intake. Not a great important concern, just kind of wondering.

Thanks again,

Tom

Jerry,

Would ceramic be any better? (Iron or aluminum) I'm not thing so much of appearance, as keeping the intake temp down.

Thanks,

Tom

I do not trust ANY insurance company. I have had prolonged dealings on more than one occasion after being hit (last time a kid ran a light). This was needed in order to receive fair payment - enough to repair the damage. I would lean toward specialty insurance for collector cars. Mine is not yet on the road. I would also READ THE POLICY. No matter what your agent tells you, decisions are based on the actual policy as written.

Or you could stick with Canadian sold cars where documentation is available.

One reason to change the vin would be to recreate a better car that has been totaled. Like a Z from a 6 cyl, etc. Another would be to register a stolen car.

You may be able to read the partial through the cowl. After all these years lots of thing may have happened.

Good luck

Check to see if the partial vin matches the full vin. More info here: http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#PartialVIN

Good luck,

My 69 307 PG has the console, with floor shift. I believe it to be original.

I seem to recall reading that BB mounts positioned the motor farther forward in the bay than the SB, And 6 mounts farther back.

Ed, Are you aware of an aftermarket version? Did you swap the entire seat, or did it replace the manual mechanism?

I believe the 2004r 4 speed overdrive auto also fits the bill as any easy to do, easy to undo swap, and may be even more street friendly.
