1  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Delco Energizer Y-55 Battery on: March 31, 2015, 11:54:07 PM
Danny, I would probably leave the battery dry, and just swap it in for shows. It would outlast me.

Looks like the hood portion of your stripes is missing. Search the site for "dx1" for other pictures of the stripe package. Nice car, welcome to the site!
3  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Stolen cars - changed VINs.. What can happen?? on: February 28, 2015, 03:57:09 PM
there is also the statute of limitations to consider. after enough time stolen items can not be recovered. Happened on a big scale a year or two ago when hundreds of paintings stolen by germans during WW2. The courts ruled that the person in possession could keep most of the paintings

It's been a long time, but I think i used atf fluid in my 66 olds vert, sometime around the early 70's. If the lens is white, you probably have a clear bulb, and a yellow bulb.
9  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Merry Christmas to All! on: December 29, 2014, 08:13:57 PM
Belated, but MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. Have a happy and prosperous new year! With a bit of luck, I will have time and money after mid year to get back to the Camaro. So glad I still have it, even semi disassembled as it is. Better times are coming, maybe I'll even get a CRG t-shirt this year!

There are many free download tools to edit photos.  I usually start by cropping (trimming) off background if it's not important.  Then resize to about 800 pixels by whatever. I let the software choose the other side but always check the box to keep the original aspect ratio so the pic is not distorted.  That should get you to a size you can post. If that doesn't work, email the pics, and I will eventually get them posted.

11  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: This is a good looking car! on: June 11, 2014, 02:23:35 AM
The ad states the Ivory/black interior is "rare". I looked up the estimates for interior colors, and see no mention of ivory/black. Is this a rare interior choice? Just curious because that's what I have.

Thanks for the confirmation.
13  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Dealership Memorabilia & Dealership Info on: May 26, 2014, 06:57:17 AM
saw a few on stangs back in the day, don't know the source. Yes you could buy a glass teardrop at the local speed shop and add it to any mark you desired.
14  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: LG7 behind rear seat and writing on the side of the floor pan hump on: May 19, 2014, 03:56:17 AM
It does resemble salvage yard markings, but most yards I remember used white or yellow crayon.  And yes I have bought a car from the scrapper, and put it back together with other parts from the same yard.

For that price I would bid for it, if I was on the left coast.
