This is very cool indeed especially being that I'm an Alabama native. I have also been on those banks before and what an experience that was!

I have been running Champion plugs (RC-12YC) in my Edelbrock RPM heads per their recommendation for years and never had any problems.
They are 1/4 " shorter for header clearance also.

I just replaced a set and probably wasted my money. The plugs looked ok. They were pretty old.

Where did you purchase the top if you don't mind me asking? More pics please.

Compared to the bezels,my nos fenders were around $300 when I bought them. That rs frontend does look good with the repops.

Mine (fenders) were $210 ea, including extensions. I recall the parts guy commenting how expensive they were! :)

Mine still have the extensions wired on as I have not installed them yet.

On the bezels, I see the radius on the HBC bezels I purchased.

I'd say NOS bezels are way over priced and they don't fit perfect anyway. Look at some vintage photos and a lot of times the edges don't line up with the grill so good. Personally, I'd look at what CHQ has to offer.

Here's a shot of mine. Everything, grill and fenders were NOS, purchased about 30yrs ago (when they were affordable ;)), EXCEPT the bezels! I guess they weren't available "over the counter" back then or I would've got them. And I don't recall what brand these repops were. CHQ didn't exist back then. The fit was good with only minor tweeking needed.

I bought a pair of the bezels from HBC and while I can't comment on the fitment yet, they are very nice looking.
I have nos upper & lower rs moldings and wanted all to match up but we will see one day.

Originally I was going to try and modify the nos rs fenders I purchased many moons ago to standard fenders but have decided against this and now going to make it an rs.

Originality / Re: Hood side bumpers

When they are individually packaged you can't go wrong, but I also have some purchased years ago that are nos but unpackaged.

One would think these would be easy to find being that the same ones were used on many models but not the case.
Probably not a concern to judging as I doubt they are scrutinized but original or NOS will function as intended.

Beware of some on the auction site claiming their NOS. I can tell the difference.

Support fixture J-22573 for column in vise and some amber color lithium grease I believe will do for re-assembly.

I have 2 also:
One is tilt the other non-tilt but both are floor shift.
Hopefully the pins don't need replacing on the tilt.

Pic of above mentioned socket. Looks like I  could cut down a 12-point socket possibly?

What about the lock nut socket (Kent Moore j-22599) ? What size is this and can I make one with an old socket?
