This is what I have....brown wire at coil neg going to bulkhead connector with orange wire with 90 deg black connector to the tach inside the dash, like the cig lighter but 18 ga wire not 14 ga.

OK now why doesn't this tested tach not work? Am i missing a ground wire? There was one that i connected to the lower center screw on the cluster. Maybe this was not enough?

I am looking for the details of the dash connection. Is it orange?

Can anyone help with the dash wiring details for a 1968 tic toc tach?

I have the Brown lead at the negative side of the coil but the hook up at the tach terminal is orange. The tach has a pin type terminal and when the harness was installed I only saw one possible hook up (the orange wire) which has a sort of pass thru clip connector.

Thanks

Arno

I tried that email twice with no response. Suggests they are not getting feedback that could help improve the product.

Too bad since they seem to have some good stuff like their rubber bumpers.

I got repro mirror #2 and it has the same problem....and no drain holes.

Does antone have a contact for OER that i can call. They have no info on the box or website.

No responses so i tried taking one apart. Guess what? You can renew the upper seals if you work with dental picks and have some time.

Remove the circlip, pry out the dust cap. Them remove the metal washer and plastic distance piece. this reveals the seal which can be poked out.

That doesn't make sense. The Sessions distance should be shorter not longer and is measured in exactly the same place just different points on the bows. See my original posting. 13"+ sounds correct if measured the GM way.

I see in the Fisher Body Manual that the correct distance betwwen the rear and center bows is 13 3/16" from center of middle bow to front edge of rear bow but the Sessions Restoration book says 14 1/2" from rear of middle bow to front edge of rear bow or the top won't fit. The last one works out 14 1/2 compared to 13 1/2 for GM. Anyone know which is correct?

Thanks

Just for interest, is there a way to replace the upper seal on the 67-69 lift cylinders? I have a spare that I took apart and have the circlip/seal out for fun. Ths shaft end eye is too big and the piston sleeve is crimped .

Paragon only carries the regular O/S mirror not the remote version.

I can put in the time but i want to be sure that the padding is full and seams are per original. I've seen some where the seat padding just wasn't right and the seat sags or dimples. Not sure who supplied these but I'm not sure there is a great deal of supplier choice. Legendary doesn't make this model, Distinctive does I think and then there is PUI.

Anyone had experience recovering 1968 deluxe front seats with the vinyl kits from PUI? Is the fit and stuffing correct?

Well I'm on mirror #2 and have the same problem. The glass is loose in the housing at all posistions. Seems OER has no known phone number for customer service. I emailed their general mailbox via their website to see if they have a solution. Anyone know how to contact OER?

I'll ask about the drain holes but i have a broken original and i don't see where they drain either.
