Sounds like a nice book. I was ordering the book but the shipping cost of $26 was just to much. Maybe the shipping cost was listed wrong.

I was member number 4838 and have all the magazines. Was not very happy when it was sold. One good thing that they did was start getting information off the trim tags and decoding it for the members. As a member you could call them and they would decode your trim tag over the phone. My numbers matching 1967 RS L30/M20 was the car that disproved the 4P as an SS car. They told me that it decoded to a SS but it had the original 275 HP 327 Engine. With the P.O.P and order form. Kinda ruined there day. My Brother-in-Law bought it off the lot in March 1967. That is just for all of you guys information.

Do you still have this block? Can you send me pictures? How much do you want for it.

Yes that is what I found out but would like to know if the engine lines up with the Vin number. It is Sateen Silver with black and white houndstooth interior. Thank you for forwarding the question. Weston

Just picked up a family cruiser with the 348 engine. It does not have to month and week stamped on the trim tag. The Trim tag is 60-1839 Body SL 11466 and the engine it coded TO128G and Vin # is 01839S174179. Is or does anyone on here have a way of checking the Vin # to the engine date to see if it is the original engine. I know we have data to compare vin #'s to trim tags for Camaro's. Thanks Weston

I will look at my L150010 vin plate to see if it has these types of rivets. I know it has never been off the car. I will get a picture and post it here.

If you can get the 67 front clip at a good price pick it up. The only difference between the 2 years is the reflectors added to the fenders in 1968. You can always cut them out. That is what I would do.

Like I said the trim tag was hard to read but it was a Canadian Camaro. Sounds like you have it information.

At the Pocatello Idaho the "Chrome in the Dome" car show I saw a 1967 Z28 numbers matching 26,000 original mile Camaro. Trim tag looked good but could not read the engine numbers.  I got a poor picture of the trim tag, 05? for month and E-E paint. The other numbers were 760-z, 2LGS, 4L and 5B.  I did not get to talk to the owner because he was not at his car. I really wanted to talk to him or her but I had to work today so i could not go back.  Also saw a 1966 L79 Nova and a 1969 Yenko. The Yenko had a X44 trim tag but big block heater core. Did not get to talk to any of the owners.

Looks like you have a 1968 Z28 Camaro just like mine. See "1968 Z28 on CRG. I have most of the same evidence and pictures that you posted. I plan on trying to save the evidence on the rear valance of the original stripes. I wish i knew how to post the link to the post. Good luck on your build. By the way those heads would work perfect for my 12E Z28.

I WAS running a SBC 400 30 over with twisted wedge heads, ross racing flat top pistons, Trick flow rods, Eagle crankshaft and a Iskendarian 292 .505 lift cam. Now I am going to build a nice street engine with the parts that I can save from dead the engine. Make it 40 over just to clean up any problems from the dropped valve. Find a bare set of heads to transfer the stuff off the dead heads and get a more mild cam and mild pistons and put back together. I do not need a racing engine. The engine came with the Nova and it was 19 years old so I am not that sad that it died. It was very strong and the 1966 Nova does not need much to flat out scream. It has a Turbo 400 and a Dana 40 posi that are still going strong. I know it is a long shot to find some rods but maybe I can help someone if they need some or some come my way because of this post.

Garage Talk / Trick Flow ultralight 6 inch rods
« on: March 03, 2018, 02:45:24 PM »
I dropped a valve in my SBC 400 and bent a rod. Destroyed the Trick Flow twisted wedge aluminum heads. Not a good day. Looking for one or more 6 inch Trick Flow Ultralight full floater connecting rod. These were discontinued 17 years age so this is a long shot but it is a shame to have to replace all of them. If this is not the correct place for this please move it or delete it. Thank you.
