Great report. I had an LM1 from 1978 to 1988. It was an X11 RS with disc brakes, dual exhaust, turbo 350, 12 bolt 3.07 open, 5 leafs. Block was 386 with 2 bolt mains.

The painted-on marks are in front of the drivers side tire. There is a color stripe and a stenciled -on date code.

Maintenance / Re: side mirrors

I used a combination of the replies posted here. I first scuffed up the swivel ball ( only where it wont show when adjusted) using my electric engraver tool, then put on blue locktite.
So far it seems to work fine, have not tested at 100mph yet. I will let you know. Thanks everyone!

Maintenance / 69 dash pad repair
« on: January 16, 2006, 08:45:11 PM »
My 69 dash pad is in good shape except for the separation of the pads front edge and the fiberglass backing. I have tried the hot glue method and it works for a while, but has anyone come up with a better, more permanant method?

Restoration / Re: CORRECT UNDER BODY COLOR
« on: November 10, 2005, 04:51:23 AM »
That is my original paint 69 Hugger SS coupe in that old issue of Camaro Enthusiest :). Car is near mint and never driven in the rain, thats why the underbody is in such good shape. It looks better now that I cleaned up under there. Yes, it has orange overspray on the bottom, mostly on the floor ridges that would catch the paint from the sprayer. Also has drips from the primer on the rear frame rails.
