3  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Exhaust Manifold #s on: December 25, 2013, 05:59:40 PM
Thanks john, that's what I thought. And if all the HB coded engines were the same are these numbers possibly a lesser used casting? Butch, check the dates on the back when you take them off. They look just like the other numbers. I guess they could have been changed if they cracked or something. But both? And they still have the French locks.

Never checked the numbers. They look like the correct ones even the shallow offset by the steering box. I thought the manifolds were put on at the engine plant. Just trying to learn something here. Even though it was a Chevelle it still a HB. So why would these numbers be different anybody?

So what were the numbers on the ones on the engine?
6  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Steering colunm number for 1969 RS/SS 4 speed Z 10 on: June 25, 2012, 02:42:13 PM
The only thing I can find stamped is A99S. I found the old Camaro Enthusiast artical written by Ian Johnson and it has a lot of info. But the date code format I believe was different in different years. There may be some more stampings under the rubbger floor boot as what I found is close to that. I don't remember the sticker on mine when I restored it. But it may have been on there. I did mine before didgital pics so probably don't have any pic os it.

I have a 04c Z 10 with tilt. I remember the date code is on the lower part of the column. I don't remember a part number but there may be one. I'll try to look under the dash and see what I can see.

Eddie, glad you are going. You will do well no doubt.
9  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 1969 Camaro Heater Control Back Light - Green or White? on: May 10, 2012, 09:14:08 PM
I'm pretty sure it should be green. Novas were white some years. I had a service replacement that was white. It's the lens that makes the green tint.
10  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: M.S.O. date on: May 10, 2012, 03:24:57 PM
The Norwood Z i owned was a 8C build and the MSO was Aug 21.
11  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: M.S.O. date on: May 10, 2012, 12:10:34 PM
Another thing is my car was a dealer transfer. You see the original dealer and then the MSO was transfered to the selling dealer. The original owner is listed also when the car was sold.
12  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: M.S.O. date on: May 10, 2012, 12:07:58 PM
My 70 Z is a 5E build and the date on the MSO is may 29th. I also have the MSO for a 69 z I sold.

13  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: M.S.O. date on: May 10, 2012, 11:13:15 AM
Thanks John. I also posted this on NCRS. Has there been any comparison of the Vette shipping records to MSO dates?
14  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / M.S.O. date on: May 09, 2012, 09:32:58 PM
Is the date on a mso the date the car was completed?
15  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Old racing photo with 69 pace cars-Know anything about it? on: May 06, 2012, 10:09:08 AM
Just wondering if the Corvette was some type of pre-production show car or? Would seem odd to have all those 69 pace cars together a year later?

I don't understand this question.
