Check out eBay, auto trader.com or other car sites before you make a mistake you might regret.
One thing is the car came with a six, and now has an eight.  Always remember once you buy it, it's yours.

Bill,  I'm A tall person, and the only problem I have is when I working on a truck.  Let some air out of the tires instead of taking the wheels off.  This will also be safer, and the car will be more stable.

I have never, and will not remove an engine just to change a set of heads on a Camaro.  You might want to consider removing the hood for clearance reasons.  To protect the finish line the fenders, and other areas you want protected with blankets, furniture pads, etc.  Be sure to use the correct torque specs.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: 1967 Camaro seat belt decoding help

Also note you have the male and female ends confused. The male end should retract, and be the top shoulder belt.

Don't want this to confuse anyone.  The shouder belt should have a male buckle, with the retractable belt having one too.  Sorry for the confusing entry. :)

Maintenance / Re: NEED HELP PLEASE "Fuse Block 1968"
« on: January 09, 2006, 09:51:47 PM »
The clock and lighter are on the same fuse circuit. Check the hot wire going to the lighter and make sure it's not grounded somewhere on the metal dash. As for the terminals not having voltage, I would pull the fuse panel, and check the back of the panel and see if you have voltage on that side of it. Two small screws on it on. You can check the clock and lighter circuit with it off to test which side has the problem too.
If you don't already have one, you will need a volt-omh meter, which will save you from replacing blown fuses.

The instr. lamp fuse is for the instrument lights. The brightness is controlled with the headligt switch. You can dim, or brighten the dash lights by turning the headlight switch knob.

Maintenance / Re: Driver's side door stuck shut..

Climb into the passenger side, drive the car to your nearest fire department and ask them if they would use the "JAWS" to pop open your door. I have done this numberous times and it has always worked for me. Your car may look like crap after it's done, but normally the ones I have done look like crap before I start.
All joking aside, it sounds as though your outside door handle has come apart on the inside. You will need to remove the inside door panel to access it. This will be difficult with the door closed, so you might want to have a locksmith open it for you, or use a "Slim Jim tool" to get the door open.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy new year.

I just checked this site and I have to say it's a bright fellow that can't tell a cast iron intake from an aluminum one. It does seem like a site for later camaros.
Right now I'll keep with the "BEST".

Maintenance / Re: Hissing brake booster?
« on: November 04, 2005, 02:48:50 PM »
If you start the car, and then look under the dash where the pedal rod goes into the booster.  Push on the brake pedal and listen for the leak. That is normally where it is.
