Wait till you get to the cowl area/under the windshield.
2  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 1100837 Alternator Stamping - Original? on: December 05, 2013, 02:06:10 AM
Another example of an 9A13 to add to the mix.  And I agree with the above post when trying to find a real Alt. The As and Gs seem to always be striked hard/stamped hard.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these brackets for the solenoid?

For those that are Vets, you can go to this web site : http://www.military.com/buddy-finder/  I have been contacted by a few folks that I lost track of, and found a few.  My dad and i share the same first and last name and I have been contacted by some of his old buddies, kinda cool as one sent me a picture that I, my pops and he was in about a month after I was born.
5  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Best Method to Put in Rear Seat? on: July 16, 2013, 02:00:12 AM
I would spend the time to get it out and look see what's under there. My case there were what was left of two joints and three .38 bullets, and all other kinds of knick knacks, cracker jacks etc.  Not good when your employed by the USAF and pass thru security every day with the chance of getting pulled over and searched by drug dogs.
6  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 68 TH400 Modulator and line fittings on: May 22, 2013, 02:42:01 AM
My Turbo 400 fittings are brass. There is another modulator part # 8623983 Those are black. Might be other parts numbers that replaced these two. Heres anothe pic I found of that part # you have.

Hey Chuck. Will you give me a GI discount on that 8L15 distributor? It would fit nice in my 02C L-78.

This car also appears to be heavily optioned. From what I can see by the pics...clock, rosewood steering wheel, gauge pkg, delux interior, rs/ss pkg, vinyl top, and what really catches my eyes are the SS wheels and the AM/FM radio (I think its amfm). It will be interesting to see if these are all original components.

What else am I missing?

Here's the list of all the options, price, and how many were produced...http://www.camaros.org/pdf/options.pdf

If everything checks out you might have to dig pretty deep.  Wink

I almost forgot to mention because I was focused on other areas of the car but I did confirm the dual exhaust. The doubler plate is on the rear drivers side frame rail. Indicating RPO N10
were you able to get a pic of that plate?  About every one of the real deal dual exhaust plates I have seen were basically hit with the welder in a few spots.  If they were added later in the cars life most have a nice continuous bead in place....top and bottom.
Looks like a nice car.  Good luck.
9  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: interior question on: December 14, 2011, 04:06:36 AM
Steve,  More than likely some parts are missing.  The rear seat top latches onto a bar, theres a release mechanism that lets it fold down. Your going to need some additional parts to make that seat work.  You can buy them on line...so no worries there.
I dont know if a Birds rear fold down seat is the same as a Camaro's though.

Post some pics using photobucket.  It might help other's here to I.D.ing it.
