Are you sure this one hasn't been replaced? The reason I'm asking? This bolt on wedge type is what most vendors were selling when I built my car last year and I had to use my old one.  Mine was in good shape but I wanted a new one and they didn't sell them then.

No, My old 69 Z28 (05E) that I purchased in 1983 had the same bolt on wedge snubber.

Originality / Re: Carb Stud Length - '69 Cowl Air Cleaner

In the AMK products catalog it shows the stud with part 3747933 as 1/4 20 x 1 5/8 OAL. This part number of the stud # 3747933 is listed in the cowl induction section of the AIM. This length of the stud appears to match the original engine photo of the # 3 ZL1 camaro in a book I have.

The bracket in the bottom photo with the rounded corners is the correct bracket for 68-69 B/B. The rounded bracket in the above photo is correct for 70 B/B because the bracket was drilled for a return spring. The 68-69 B/B bracket did not have hole drill in it for return spring.

I compared your clip to a original spare clip I have and I could easily bend my clip to same configuration as yours shown in the photos.

I checked my 69 camaro wiring harness and it does not have a harness retaining wiring clip in this location.

Exactly what the difference is between an SS350 manual base [6485233] and the Z/28-BB base [6485235] I do not know.

The difference is the between the SS350 manual base is the vent tube has a sharper 90 degree bend to the base of the of the air cleaner. The tube are the same size.
