In the A.I.M it shows the screw for the carb fuel bracket is the same one used to mount the battery junction block to the rad support.

Yes, I remember looking at a nice original 69 Z28 in the early 80's that used the same bolts on the intake manifold.

Did Jerry M say that m-22 the used a magnetic fill plug ? My original m-22 only had a magnetic plug on the drain and the fill plug was non magnetic.

Restoration / Re: Heater core - rebuild or buy new ???
« on: November 11, 2013, 07:25:54 PM »
I would have the original heater core re-corded using the original tanks. I have had a old time radiator repair man tell me that the original tank with 5/8'' outlet pipe with the water restrictor was put in there to slow the water flow down though the heater core to prevent electrolyses of the tubes. The after market heater cores don't have restrictor on the tube so you get alot more electrolyses of the tubes.

I have set of early NOS tie rod ends, they have the orange paint on the ends, it appears that they may have came from the supplier with paint markings on them.

Originality / Re: 1969 Oil Pressure Gauge Block Sender Fitting
« on: September 19, 2013, 03:59:18 AM »
The plastic oil line was new repro,  I had to cut the plastic oil line to remove the compression nut the compression furl and the brass tube insert. Pushed the plastic line though the fitting and installed the brass tube insert into the end of the plastic tube, screwed the fitting in the female fitting, but still could not get the plastic tube to bite onto the fitting no matter now much I tighten the fitting.

Can anyone explain how the plastic tube works on the this fitting that Edgemontvillage has shown. I tried to install the same fitting on my friend's  69 Z28, last year and I could not get the plastic oil line to stop leaking oil on the male flare fitting that screws into the female fitting.

The screw threads are tighter, almost the width of a coarse thread bolt.
