Slow and careful, but they do turn out nice.

If anyone questions  going with John Z tip of using full manifold vacuum it is the best thing I ever did to my 1968 Z. It runs so much better on the street. Likely the best tip I have ever done to make these 302 s run like they should .  Thanks John

I second that, Stock 302s with good timing, good jetting and headers are great street engines. I use a scosh more initial and less centrifugal but the 30-30 loves it.

Kevin, use the classifieds over at Team Camaro. You can advertise for wants too.

Seems like I remember several people being shot down for "original" DZ engines using Tonawanda blocks. Maybe not here, but over at TC.

Gary I got a set of NOS for $9 bucks and they are definitely flat and has numbers on them.

Do they have any left?

Why do manufacturers make crap? When I saw these I knew they would not fit. Too tall. They could have made the pair out of one of these since they are so tall. Now I will call Soft Seal and give them a piece of my mind.

Are the correct seat bumpers domed or flat? The original repros I got are flat. The new replacements (Soft Seal) are domed.

Those repro light modules are not the best. They are known to be pretty inaccurate. But 1/2 tank off is a lot.

The issue is Windows Live Mail won't read Outlook pst files. It will Outlook Express, but not Outlook. I need to run it thru a converter and that hasn't happened yet.... :)

In the mean time I bet your are working hard on your own car.... ;D

Just a medium screw driver. The brass is pretty soft.

Yes it is. I carefully lifted the rolled edge made of brass up and pulled the socket and wirinf out. Once the housing was plated I scuffed the inside surface and painted white. Then I put the socket back in and tamped it down with a socket...3/4" as I remember.

I noticed my emblem was leaking a little oil, then after a ride Sunday it was gone. Blown off I guess. I have a new one coming. What should I use to put it back on? RTV?
