Jl8 uses disc brake spindles . You can use Jl8 or Corvette front calipers .

They use front drum brake hubs , with 1.75 long studs and Corvette front rotors .

The JL8 rotor is 11.75 diameter and 1.25 thick , and the hub comes from the inside , only the studs and center hub are seen when installed. .

The big block frame stands are different to offset the engine to the right . I was wanting to know if the rubber mount was different on the left to allow for the anti lift bracket thickness .

The best thing Danny can do is get inside and feel this spot , if its welded it should be easy to feel , if its a stain it will be smooth .

That second layer Charley is talking about is the door striker reinforcement seen in Jerry's picture in front of the rusty tube on the right of the picture .

I just looked at mine , it has that same looking thing its just a stain from water getting past the quarter window weatherstrip . feel inside you probably wont find a step like a panel would have .

Is the mount that uses these brackets shorter than a regular mount to allow for the thickness of the bracket , or does the engine set higher ? How thick is the bracket ?
