From the ad: I'm selling my original 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible. This Camaro originally and currently has a 350.

Needs to explain the 6 cylinder VIN 123679L516932. Lately it's a jungle out there.

Nice crisp looking tag. Nova gauges, January 1968 trans, March 1969 3.55 axle. Nothin' to worry about here.

Ad states "...everything on this car is brand new..." unfortunately including the X22 body tag.

Ad states the car has the original window sticker and shippers' copy. Both are bad repros, several ECL errors. Also the body number on the tag does not match the number on the fake docs.

Best of all, they misspelled Los Angeles ::)

Claims to have a non-OE but "correct" DZ engine. Engine is stamped V0226DZ 19N553055, cast B249.

N553055 was final-assembled on or about December 3, 1968. Somehow the engine time-traveled and was factory-installed in a car built 84 days before the block was cast.

Ad states "Also want to add that this is one of those rare Camaros in 69 that vin was slightly off from tag as far as Camaros were concerned because they had problems with the following year production, just adds a little more history behind this gem."

Sure. 02D tag; VIN is N620236. More than "slightly off."

Has 02B body tag; VIN tag N670055. Both tags have been removed. One or both are not original to the car.
