From the ad:

The original DZ 302 still resides under the cowl hood...

...the engine partial VIN stamping matches the car, the date code is V0128DZ and the casting code is 3932388. That all adds up to a correct, numbers matching original DZ 302 V8 engine!

Block stamp does not match two other genuine V0128DZ stampings.

The trim tag on this one is the kind of thing that makes us get excited. It not only indicates this is an X77 coupe, but also it was born in Tuxedo Black.

N686826 was final-assembled on or about September 18, 1969. The repro body tag is dated 03D; 4th week March 1969. What were they thinking?

Despite a repaint, nom, non-OE trans, hood, wheels, seat covers and carpet...

1969 Camaro Z28 Survivor

Of greater concern is the 'March 1969 DZ dated long block' that can be bought for an additional $3000. Appears to be a later block casting; there is no pipe plug in the in the block above the TC cover.

From the ad:
"1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 This is a frame off rotisserie restored real X33 car with a numbers matching 302."

"Features include smooth running and sound numbers match 302 V8 casting number 3956618."

N527399 was final-assembled on or about October 21, 1968. That's 11 weeks prior to the 01B date on the body tag and 7 weeks prior to the 3956618 block casting entering production. Tag has incorrect 72 72 paint code.

You be the judge.

That VIN was final assembled on or about June 9. 01A body tag would have been issued about 23 weeks prior. Ace Hardware rivets, wrong colors.

From the ad:
"The SS/RS 396 - 375 HP Camaro Convertible is one of todays premier collectibles."

True-when they are real.

From the ad:

"...we have posted a photo of the Vin tag to decode but from the digging we did it does show to be a Z28 car, but you make that determination for yourself as it very well could be a clone."

Did not post the pic.

Six cylinder VIN so definitely a clone.
