thanks for the info,i just thought that the car could have been ordered w/rally stripes.
it has every sign of being a SS,except that elusive X-code (12A car)
8  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: GM door sticker/decal on: October 19, 2005, 05:40:38 PM
i was under the impression that it was built in 68, because there is no x code on the trim tag and it says 12A.
no big deal, its still a camaro and a first gen at that

well i have Z stripes on my car, its a 69 supposidly SS.
last documented paint was early 80's. orig. trunk lid had no striping under spoiler.
so what your saying is that an SS could have been ordered w/ Z/28 stripes?
10  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / paint options on: October 18, 2005, 06:15:49 PM
were Z/28 stripes available as an optional paint upgrade in 69  ie 6 cyl coupe w/rally stripes.
or could you only get that w/a Z/28
11  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / GM door sticker/decal on: October 18, 2005, 05:27:20 PM
on my 69 this sticker is on the drivers door,i thought that this spot was reserved for the tire pressure sticker
which is on my pass. door.  its hard to read but all it says is the date  11/68

what does this mean
