Pretty sure this is what you are talking about... Ive never seen them reproduced anywhere. DjD over at www.camaros.net has the vigilite system, you might go ask him if he has any ideas where to find those parts today. :)

General Discussion / Re: members in central minnesota

http://www.northstarcamaroclub.com/   they are a good group of folks but like Jonesy I live to far away to be effective as a member but I hope to attend some of their events. They do cool tours of fab shops, tire shops, engine shops etc. after hours for education and insight. Give them a look at their next meeting, just show up and be an onlooker. :)

Make your own, its not hard. 3/8th steel stock, 4 holes in each one, bolt in and gain that head and leg room.

I asked Todd to visit his questions here as Im clueless on the 68's and I dont want him to buy into a pig in a poke if there is no way to confirm what the seller is claiming. I suggested he ask Jerry for a visit to the pile of parts and split the cost with the seller or something like that. With all the odds and ends out there in the world, I really dont want honest buyers getting ripped if we can help the buyer avoid it. Thanks guys for helping him out here. :)

Originality / Re: No partial VIN on blocks
« on: July 23, 2007, 07:12:53 PM »
My 10c Oct 68  LA built RS has the partial VIN near the oil filter but with the engine in the car its impossible to get a clear pic or visual on it, all I can see are faint numbers in the rough casting. Someday when it comes out I can then confirm the partial.

here is a pic for future reference  the RS in 68 & 69 had the hose bibs, the non RS cars didnt have those, otherwise the switches are the same. :)

« on: March 26, 2007, 07:14:19 PM »
Tim the bracket attached to the rear floor?? Original dual exhaust coupes have an extra bracket welded to the 'frame' itself not the floor. Its behind the real wheel at about 1 o'clock on the frame rail with 2 holes thru it.  If yours is just a bracket bolted to the floor, its not original dual exhaust.

I got a call from a supervisor at Hagerty and they cannont comment on another company's policy wording due to legal issues if they mis-interpret something. They can only comment on their own. He suggested I show the wording to an Independent Agency in town and they are more free for commenting on various policy questions since they deal with many more of them. I will do that next week.

take a walk thru my photos of my bushing project. Im VERY lucky they all unbolted after several days of penetrating oil squirted on them and soaking, PB Blaster is very good stuff.

Ive asked my Hagerty rep to read your policy as you displayed it here Danny and I asked him to comment so I can respond back as this information helps all of us. When I hear back I willl post back here BUT until then, I also dont like the  OR  in that wording. OR is 'their' way of thinking, and that concerns me. More later when I hear back.
 Thanks again.
