I can tell you it was an L35, auto with endura bumper, It sold out of Peleshok Motors and first owner purchased it in May 1970.

I actually had a chance to buy the Mosport 69 Camaro Pace Car in the mid 90's. I even received a copy of a letter from the track & dealer confirming the cars authenticity as the pace car. The gentlemen who was selling it was from Canada but retired in FLa. He ended up giving/selling it to his son. It wasn't an L78 and think it was an L35. I'll look for any docs I have with information.

I've had a couple of issues: my Pace Car had some obscure dealer (Max Meyers Motors)in IN listed. The original owners son recalled it being sold at McManus Chev, in Chicago. I later found a window sticker for a car built same time frame, same zone and dealer code and McManus was listed. Yes the microfiche was read incorrectly.

I've also had a report with zone and dealer code "but no further info available". I did a lot of research and found the dealer info and provided it to them and they update.

I found the service they provide excellent and very accommodating.

On the feature page pics, the 1969 RS/Z looks like my car black car. I'm not positive but, I'd bet that was taken at Carlisle in 2004ish. If someone can confirm that's my car I will post more pics.

Now I see the bb, thanks. Does this rim look like it ever had a tire mounted on it or secured in a trunk?

FWIW,

Here's a Day 1 takeoff spare that was reportedly removed from the trunk of a 69 Z/28 that got a mag wheel change when brand new. The originals went home with the owner and were secured away in the basement until I got this wheel earlier this year. It's a factory spare dated K-1-9-4-18 and in mint untouched original condition. Obviously it was grey and not painted like the other wheels off the car?

A couple of observations looking at the grey painted spare pictured. I can't see how a tire was ever mounted on it (no bead mark)and there are no jack base plate marks, chip paint or abrasions when it was secured in the trunk. Also no balance/ run-out bead/marking on the rim. Certainly we've learned anything is possible....

Yes that is a service replacement/over the counter wheel.

Ok so Gary has been busy!

I sold 3 project cars and some parts (but bought a few more parts because of great prices). Overall, downsizing.  Kinda looking for a big block or Z project car, but thats off the record! It’s not a want ad!

How about the rest of you?

I bought a Mopar because this site was down!!! My first non GM car 😁. AAR Cuda...

Steve, being in CRG withdrawal is a bad thing, but at least you bought a nice alternative.. :)    I really like the AARs and TA cars...  in fact, I almost bought a new one in 1970, and helped a friend of mine find and restore one of each... Orange/black TA and an orange AAR (with auto and bench seat).. :)

Here are photos ... coming out of my homemade paintbooth, and finished in the 2nd photo...

Steve:  What color/options for the AAR you purchased?  :)

Gary the car is red-red 4spd. Being  Trans Am  cousin to the Z i've always liked them. They are very unique car with a lot of cool features.

if I recall correctly....   'Tor-Red'....   :)   ?

Yep
