31  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 67 8 track under dash parts on: October 23, 2012, 06:51:15 PM
Sorry Ed these are the only pics I have of the int. We don't know where the car is any more. This car was owned by Dave Minor and he passed away.  This is a 10k mile L78 There is a chance that Zedder ( Mark Caine) may have some more pics.  This car is coded on the cowl tag for the 8 track . Does the 68 aim that same emb. because thats a 67 style  script like is on the fenders only smaller.  Why would it be on a 68 when there is already a camaro emblem on the glove box door in writing, thanks Kerry

You know that you will have to re paint the filler panel and stripes because they are in a different position on vinyl top cars

Thanks Ed. The pic I have of one is a 10k mile 67. I have it in my email along with a few other pics of the car. When I figure out how to get them from my email to here I'll post them . Thanks Kerry
37  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / 67 8 track under dash parts on: October 22, 2012, 07:46:47 AM
I've been restoring my brothers 67 396 car and it has the under dash 8 track. I have a pic of an orig  low milage 67  with the under dash 8 track. It has the filler panel between the ash tray and tape player. Looks like I'm going to have to make one if I can't find it somewhere. The orig pic I have of it has a camaro emblem on it. Is that correct or did some one put the emblem on it. Thanks Kerry
38  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: Big Block Fan Shroud on: September 20, 2012, 06:28:06 AM
The hole and cut out are service replacement shrouds. 1600 is a lot of money and the new shrouds don't look that bad. I'm lucky to have  the correct ones but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a service one because it still doesn't look like the production one. The only time its ever going to be an issue is if you are going through legends judging and even then are a few points worth 1600.00 In the real world there are very few people that will even know you have a repo shroud

The assy. manual shows that belt for the 67 L78. I put one on from quanta. Its a little loose but maybe not like yours .  It doesn't fly off

42  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Is this a Non-Console Automatic Floor shifter? on: May 21, 2012, 12:21:32 PM
I believe you will find that only 68 had an auto shifter for a non console car
43  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: ID this curve neck rad. on: April 10, 2012, 06:35:32 AM
I think it is a 67 rad because of the round holed 67s had in them on the upper & lower bars. like I said I bought it for the BB mounting brackets a lot cheeper than I can buy the new ones that heart beat sells.  What I find strange about it is its only a 21" BB rad. I tried over at a fire bird sight and didn't get much response there either. Thanks  again  Kerry
44  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: ID this curve neck rad. on: April 05, 2012, 03:49:00 PM
It is a 21" not a 23" but the mounting brackets are the same as BB
45  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / ID this curve neck rad. on: April 05, 2012, 12:37:12 PM
I picked up this rad at the Phillie muscle car parts auction earlier this week. The bars and brackets are like a  camaro bb rad. so  they can be used to build a camaro rad. I would like to know what it really is before I cut it up. The left tank is curved neck and is coded LG . The right tank is coded AF and its a 3 core rad. Thanks  Kerry
