The only location I found that dimension was in the specification section (5) which was missing in the '68 SM..

The 1968 "AMA specifications-Passenger Car" provides the information.  See page 19, drum, diameter, front, standard 9.5 and disk 11.0, rear 9.5.

I'm suspecting that the '68 manuals that some of you have simply had an error for that page to be missing in the specs section (but it should contain the same information as either of the other manuals, unless the '68 was unique and different, which i don't think would be true).

I ordered my service and overhaul manuals using the form in the back of the warranty book right after I brought my car home from the dealer.  June build so I would have thought if there was a missing section that Helm would have known by then and fixed it.

No section 5 spec page in service manual specification section. Page 5-21 contains the information you're looking for.......0.060 is max.

Phillip, congratulations on the retirement.  I've found that I am busier now than before retirement.  "Requests" for assistance from just the family to help them out with things quadrupled!  HR people would always say, before you decide to retire just make sure you will have things to do........not a problem in my case.  I can tell you I would welcome some down time.    Cheesy

As for replacing original parts I always like to try and fix/repair them than replace but I can understand installing new things when parts are just too far gone.  Especially when the repair looks worse than it did before.   Smiley

CRG speedway.......I like it!  Has a great sound to it

Now that you are the meet chair I know that we will be attending the best spring and fall shows yet!  No pressure there......right?  Hey, with the new position it won't keep you from wearing your CRG shirt will it?

The 3 is consistent with an original part.  Do you care to scrape some of the outside chrome to see if it is paint?  The photo looks as if repairs had been made to the car at this point.  The Polaroid photo, to me, does look like it could have chrome on the horizontal ribs but we have seen other such photo's that looked that way and it turned out to be just a light reflection on the higher edge.  If you will send me a personal message with the VIN it might help.

From the picture it looks like your headlight cover is original and possibly had the chrome ribs.  It is also possible that someone may have sprayed (after the wreck) gray primer on it and then black paint which has worn off exposing the gray. Note that the chrome around the outside is in pretty good condition.  One would expect the perimeter chrome to wear like that on the ribs.   You may have one of the last of these chrome grilles installed on your 05D car as the change over from chrome to black was around this time frame (last of May).  Do you see a mold number on the back side?  Have you read the report on the RS grille?  Here is the link:  http://www.camaros.org/68rs.shtml

Place the choke cam on the high step (the end of the screw on the high step) and adjust the screw to around 1500 - 2000 rpm to get your choke set at appropriate engine rpm's in cold weather.

Danny, I read your first paragraph to my wife and she laughed out loud and said you were feeling her pain.  Smiley
We also appreciate the thought and the support from Gary and janobyte on your idea but we really don't want anyone to send any extra money.........really.  Very nice thought but not necessary at all.

Gary is correct, i did convince her we could do this but it was done to give members something to wear out to events to help identify each other and to show pride in their association with CRG.  

We can do sweatshirts but need some time to get it all pulled together.  I think a pull over sweatshirt itself,with and without a hood, can be had at a reasonable price but the shipping is what drives the total cost up.  We did ship a couple of the T-shirts using a vacuum bag in order to get them in a small box but this would just drive up the cost more if a bunch of them needed this done.  Right now I think the minimum size we would need to use for the sweatshirts would be a medium box ($12.35) and I think a large box ($16.85) for more than 2 shirts.  It is really difficult to predict the box size needed when there are more than one different size shirts ordered.  The medium box is going to be even smaller in the near future according to the USPS info.

Right now we are trying to wrap up the T- shirt orders.......the link to order has been reopened so anyone who still wants one this round get your order in right away.
