Sorry for the parallel discussion.  Also note the lower rear fender flares mimicking the 1970 Vette.  Never seen that on any other styling Camaro.

Group/7:  Thanks for the information.  Possible the car may still exist, although in a form modified from its show car version thus masking the identity.  Intriguing.

As a side note...has the Killy car ever re-surfaced?

Just wait.  The list of vehicles getting the axe will continue to expand as the current captains of industry pursue their politically-driven pipe dream.
Gas/electric hybrid vehicles I understand.  But all electric?  Any bets that infrastructure can't be built up by 2030 or even 2035 to meet the demand for ALL-electric?  And what will be generating those wonderful "clean energy" electrons?  Solar cells? Or natural gas, coal or nuclear generation?  Construction proposals for new plants based on these technologies have difficulty being approved.  They're "climate change" contributors per federal agencies.  And we will need to greatly increase generation capacity to meet demand.  So if Big Brother mandates all good comrades have electric vehicles,  how many tens of millions of people will be waiting in line to charge their electric vehicles every night?  Will that have a direct impact on where you live?  Will you have to move much closer to your workplace?  Will your freedom of movement be impacted?  All things to seriously consider.  I have to ask why the average family would consider buying into this debacle.  Just shaking my head...

Same here.  Heard of the "high torque" units but have never been able to find any offered by the parts suppliers.  Original supplier may have discontinued.  Someone on this forum will know.

Pretty much general knowledge that Camaro build out has been planned internally for several years.  It's a shame, but the General's "electric revolution" has helped to drive cancellation of other car model lines as well to free up resources.  Truck lines are seen as a necessary evil providing the profits for the electric rollout.  You WILL have electric vehicles forced on the market regardless of customer preference.
Sorry to inform you Ms. B...you can keep your all-electric passenger cars.

"...I too cannot figure out why things cannot be made correctly today when they were made correct 50 years ago. "
Ask yourself WHERE the originals were made vs WHERE the reproductions are made.   And, from my experience most USA made reproduction parts are MUCH more accurate than oversees offerings.  Who knows what the foreign "production facility" looks like.  Could be a tin shed with a dirt floor somewhere.  It's all about CHEAP labor and processes.

Have to agree that the 5.0L H.O. cars were a blast to drive.  My buddy and I bought new '84 H.O. 5-speed cars right out of college.  Mine was a black 4 wheel disc/3.73 axle and Lear Siegler "Conteur" seating in red/orange.  23+ mpg on a road trip and could consistently pull away from my buddy's new '87(?) 5.7L TPI IROC automatic.  In fact he still had his blue '84 H.O. 5-speed that he let his girlfriend drive when we were out cruising.  After I smoked him, she raced him and beat him as well.  Out came the 350 TPI and in went a 383 with a bunch of aftermarket components.  I never beat him again, lol... Kept it until 1996 and sold it to a kid out of high school to buy a new '97 convertible pace car replica.  Huge mistake.  Really miss that car.

FWIW:  I worked with an older fellow at one of the Big Three about 15 yrs ago.  This guy both street raced and sanctioned drag raced a number of 1st Gen Z28's and knew Jerry M. as well.  He said emphatically that the best combination for street racing a 302 was when it was paired with a wide box and the 4.10 gears.  He said that low first gear made the most of the 302 out of the hole.  Dave was a heck of a guy and had more stories about Woodward "as it was" than I could hope to recall.  Unfortunately, Dave retired around 2009 and and I lost track of him.

I thought the Z11 production was known(3675?), but the Z10 was not.  Or is my 63 year old memory off?

LOL...you are correct Maroman.  They were only straight/inline/L-head sixes.
Re: Number left?   VIN search would be the only way I could think of.  Probably need someone in law enforcement or insurance industry to run a search.  People in those areas might run a search for a particular VIN, but not for a large number.   Unless you have good connections...

I'm envious.  Looks like you found a good one.  All mine does is complain that I spend too much time and $ on the Camaro's.  But it wasn't an issue before that marriage license was issued, lol.  Time to trade up to one with a better disposition.  Everyone tells me that divorces are expensive because they are worth it!

Those must be "metallic brakes"...

I noticed the photo for Ed Priester Chevrolet had a strange combination.  A '69 coupe (apparently new) sitting on the showroom floor...with Rally-Sport side script and an SS hood.  Engine ID emblems appear to my old eyes to be 327.  If so, then an early '69.
Dealer addition or ????
