I have seen several YH wheels on Ebay that have date codes that stretch into 1970. How long did they produce the YH wheel ? The set I see now is k 1 0  6 22. When were the last 69's built ? I guess I am alittle confused about this.

If there is anyway to leave them on and polish in place, do that.
These can be a ball buster to get off without messing up!  FORGET the urge to use pliers. I have had good luck with bumping them off with a piece of hardwood, maple or cherry work well. Make a fresh cut on a table saw so you have a good sharp edge, a 10 to 12" long 1x2 and maybe a narrower one for the curved part at the back window.
 With the windows down, and from inside the car, hold the wood block squarley on the lower lip of that moulding and start from the front working aft and tap the block with a hammer and you should get it to start rolling off. It helps to have some help holding the moulding with slight tension to ease it off as you tap, and watch your paint. If you have a helper they can use a light twist to help the moulding along, It can get alittle tricky as you work the curved section. Work slow take your time.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INPUT ABOUT NEW DOOR SEALS FOR 69 CAMARO?  THE DOOR SEALS I'VE USED ON MY LAST TWO CARS ARE OER BRAND FROM CLASSIC IND.  THE DOORS MUST CLOSED VERY HARD TO GET THEM TO LATCH.  HAVE ANY OTHER MEMBERS HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM?  DOES ANYONE KNOW  WHAT KIND OF DOOR SEALS WORK BETTER,  AND WHERE I COULD GET THEM?  I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT ALL THE OTHER PARTS SUPPLIERS OUT THERE,  WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IS WHAT SPECIFIC BRAND OTHER MEMBERS HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH  BEFORE I ORDER.   THANK YOU.

Metro"Supersoft" seals, better than Soft Seal brand. IMO. They both fit well but the Metro seals seem softer and you do not have to gang bang the door to get them to close.

I have been restoring a 69 COPO for one of the local's. Thought you might like checking out this marking I found on one of the front fender extensions.
As you can see the mark is "427 M" any ideas on what the M stands for ? I'm thinking 427 engine Manual trans ?
It is a Hugger Orange Double COPO Norwood 4C car, To bad, no paper.

My block was like that also,  Even after Hot tanking mine it is still hard to read.

Also make sure that area around the oil filter is free of all paint and debris,as in hot tanked, then with the area in ? facing up try using a 10X mag glass with a strong light source.

I can only speek of the 69's, and Rick's 1st gen camaro has repo rivets in there catalog. I have some on order but have not seen them.

After restoring 4 69 Camaros and a couple A body's I can't stress enough how important taking "LOTS OF PICTURES" is . Get a decent dgital camera and keep it handy. Talk some tight in shots of the cowl tag in place on the old sheetmetal too. When your all done it is nice to make a album to pass along with the car if you ever sell it.

I have a '69 Z28. Can anyone tell me what color (front and back) the parking light housings in the lower front valance should be? It appears that they may have been painted the original body color under the lens, the back I'm not sure. Thanks for your help.

Out of about 5, 69 Camaros I have taken apart one set of parking light lense's were bright cad (silver) the others were cad yellow like the brake boosters. The backs of the lamp sockets that are crimped in place look to be coper plating. Hope this helps.

Help ! I'm trying to post a picture of my ride in my user info box. I have downloaded a picture to Photobucket as sugested. But all i get is a blank box with a red X out. I'm sure It's my poor computer skills. What I have tried to do so far is copy and paste the url of my picture. I'm not having any luck with the brouse icon.
