My car has no spoilers, I put a cowl hood on 30 years ago. I'm strongly considering putting the flat hood back on, I like both but flat is what it came with, and with no spoilers it seems to sort of fit the car. My son has a 67 that's a hot rod all aluminum small block 427, 5 speed Tremic, even though it's a 67 his cowl hood seems to fit the car.

Recent purchase from HBC, part was wrong, they admitted it was their fault and would not take care of the situation to my satisfaction. I did not ask for the world, just expidited shipping on a very small item, to finish a project. I have been in business for 25+ years and deal with many vendors both business and hobby. I was very disapointed at the poor response, and rude treatment I recieved. 2nd bad experiece with them, shouldn't have given them another chance. Never again.

Originality / Re: Cable Motor Support

In late 72 my 69Z already had headers on it, thus the cable kit would not work, the dealer checked with someone up the chain, and installed new motor mounts. I'm assuming they were interlocking.

When I bought my car in 1975 it had a 600 Holley and a dual point aftermarket distributor installed on it. Before I left I asked if he had any other parts for the car, I walked out with the original carb and distributor. Guess it never hurts to ask!

Are people paying that kind off money for real 1111480 distributors?

General Discussion / Re: Chambered Exhaust Option - 69 Z
« on: April 03, 2012, 12:18:58 AM »
I have a set of resonators which I purchased in 76 from GM with my chambered system I mistakenly believed they went with that system. Having no use for them I welded  a set of header reducers on the inlets and used them a couple of times to test an open header car on the street. I'm pretty sure that the reducers can be cut off without hurting the resonators. If anyone can use them, I'll dig them out and take a look to be sure. Send me a PM or e-mail if you can use them.

69 302's didn't have interlock mounts from the factory did they? I had to take mine in for a recall, the dealer installed them.
