Jerry, the September, 1968 P&A shows the 1969 support as being P/N 3937500 (Group 1.270). The 69 AIM shows it as being P/N 3938695, but no mention of any previous number. The 1975 P&A shows "1967-1969 Camaro" as P/N 3962940, but that's probably after a few service revisions since it covers all three years.

Does anyone have a 1969 P&A they can look at?

As a side note The Z21 also consisted of the hightlighted side marker bezels (black painted valleys) that i have never seen listed in print, Same part numbers.

I've never heard that one before and there's nothing in any of the parts books, Illustration guides or the AIM about this. As a matter of fact, the same rear quarter panal lamp assy was used on almost all models in 1968 (P/N 916632). And Chevrolet wouldn't have used the same part number on two different items. Where did you get this information from?

Yes, going by the picture, your rims are rally. The correct cap for 1967 rally's is THIS ONE ("Chevrolet Motor Division - Disc Brakes").

Thanks John. Found it on NCRS from Jim:

Stamp Date pump is tested on the reservoir body near the filler neck.
000XYZ Where;
000 is day of year (001 thru 365)
X is Assembly Station (L or R)
Y is Assembly Shift (A, B, or C)
Z is Last Digit of Year (6 for 1966, etc.)

So I was close in my guess (and my pump isn't the original for my car).

Well, I haven't been able to find anything on power steering pump date coding, so I can't say for sure, but I'll give it a guess and say "332" is the Julian date (Monday, November 28th), "LB" is the Broadcast code and the "6" is the year (1966).

If that's the case, then this ISN'T my original pump.

Ah, now I see. You are correct. Z21 (which was included with Z22) included the belt (wide window) moldings, the wheel opening moldings, and the roof moldings (for Coupes). It didn't include the three piece lower body moldings. Cars with the Z21 option came with the standard one piece lower body molding.

Victor, I'm not sure what you're questioning. Tom stated that all RS cars came with the three piece lower body moldings, which is what you also said.

Hard to tell from the picture, but they appear to be old 30's or 40's style! Or maybe even aftermarket like THIS ONE.

I can see some kind of emblem in the center but can't make it out. That might give us a better idea of what they are. Is it the Chevrolet Bow Tie? Can you get a better picture?

Phil, we do allow attachments in posts, and allowed file types are txt, doc, pdf, jpg, gif, mpg and png, with a maximum size of 150KB per attachment allowed. Mine would have been shipped without AIR [export to Au] so would have been capped off, which is probably what they did with Canadian and other country exports ?

Correct. Option KD1 was used to delete the system, so caps would have been used. If you look in the AIM, it shows a couple of ports and vacuum lines that were capped off. It doesn't appear to show that particular port, but it does show P/N "3928101 Cap" for other lines.
