Originality / Re: Early 1969 z/28 (short spoiler)

Wouldnt a car that early have the 68 stripe configuration (closer together)?

Jerry's book shows a Sept 68 car with the short spoiler and the 68 stripes.  The short spoilers were used until Jan 69.  His book seems to indicate the 68 paint was limited to just the early cars-September 68.

Mild Modifications / Re: Does anyone run this Flowmaster exhaust system

I run the American Thunder series on my  69Z.  Only I have the two under body mufflers and not the muffler pictured.  It's a good very sounding system.

My 69Z has an M-20.  They say an M-20 is better on the street than an M21/22.

I believe that I still have the original drums and rotors still on my 69Z. What would be correct part numbers? When I replaced the ball joints a few years ago, they were still riveted in place.

I'm curious as the car shows aprox 60K on odometer. Could the mileage be 60K or so based on the car having the original drums, rotors (2pc) and rivted ball joints?  What are the chances of these three things surviving all these years?  I've had the car for 10 years.

If this helps, my 69Z (68 11A) has 2 pc kickpanels

While I'm no expert, I'm not sure how that could be done.

Auto or manual?

Not sure on the auto, but the manual has an o-ring in the end the pushes into the housing.  Make sure that the o-ring is still there. Also make sure that it is seated all the way into the case.  There is a bolt and a retaining "clamp" that secure the cable to the trans.

Ahh... IMO the gift cars thing is a little "cheesy"... just send pica and a little of the story and she should help you out. Dont forget to mention how much the car means to ya ... just my 2

Remember, They may do it on their own time.  BTW, who says she should do it?

Keep trying.  Maybe send her a gift card to a store or Chile's etc.
